We're excited to share our new single "Dwell" with all of you. This song and the others we tracked during these sessions came out of a place of growth in our own lives as we learned to lean on God in every circumstance. We hope that you will not only connect with this song on a musical level, but on a deeper personal/spiritual level as well.

A note on the ending: There are times when I can proclaim "You are the God who knows and loves me!" to God, but there are other times when I find myself speaking those words to myself, trying to reassure myself of my own belief in them. The ending is meant to convey the emotion of the latter.

I made this song on a Tuesday, the same day black squares flooded my instagram feed. I knew that it wasn't a normal day. I felt really stuck and frustrated, because as much as I felt for the plight of millions brothers and sisters everywhere, I just didn't know what to say or do.

I wrote this song thinking of Jesus who went through all that suffering (and so much more than a human can fathom). I asked questions. And with those thoughts I directed my honest sentiment to my hurting family out there: I really wish I knew what to say to make it better.

But I know well that there may be nothing. Besides, it's not what I say that matters, but what God says. And He says "cast your anxiety on Him because He cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7)

This is not our home just yet. :)

Sad World is about the revealing the temporary solutions we gave into and are sadly trapped and can’t figure out how to get out. 

This song is about giving the words to the teenage boy I was, sad, confused, and couldn’t find the words to understand this feeling I had looking at the world I was about to grow into. I hope that this song will give words to people who are speechless and scared of the reality we live in.
