Joe Ventura's recent floor-filler with Sulene Fleming (Incognito / Brand New Heavies),’Shame’, gets a smoking rework by one of the best in the biz, Doug Gomez. Driven by those unmistakeable Gomez percussive beats, Doug brings a summery Latin tinged flavour to the song, adding lush mellow pads and a stunning piano solo that beautifully flow over a groovy bass, providing the perfect back drop for Sulene’s heartfelt vocal.

US DJ, producer and remixer Joe Ventura has been contributing to the scene for 30 years and has worked with the likes of Robert Owens, Victor Simonelli, Sulene Fleming and many more. Some of his highlight remixes and productions include; Aphrohead 'In The Dark We Live', Underground Sound of Lisbon 'So Get Up', Chris & James 'Calm Down', Jestofunk 'Can We Live Together’ and Headrush ‘Underground’, to name a few. In 2020 Joe launched his new label venture Big Speaker Music featuring releases from the likes of That Kid Chris, Osheen, Mo.Ya.G alongside his own productions.

New York's Doug Gomez started his career in 1987 and as a true New Yorker of Colombian roots, his love for Afro Latin drums and sophisticated melodies led him to be embrace the path of DJing. Doug has released on some of the best labels on the scene including MoBlack, King Street Sounds, Offering Recordings, Dog Day Recordings, Grooveland, Sole Channel and more, along with his own label, Merecumbe Recordings, dedicated to the soul and sound of Afro Latin rhythms.
