Deeper Innit #2 (Recorded Live On FB, Link In Desc)

This mix is a Journey of sorts, departing from a Sassy Tech House origin, warming you up before steadily dropping off the edge into deep unknown territory where things get a little weird but not for too long as we pick up a Dark Minimal Groove; on our way out of the dark we get twisted for a minute which puts us in prime position for the confident grip of the incoming Prog-Tech driving us towards the end of the line, and landing with our feet firmly on the ground - Enjoy.

Crossing Borders

The "Deeper Innit" Series is an impromptu mix, usually consisting of the darker, deeper selections that I wouldn't normally get to play out. Not always dark but purely just freestyle and fun, not planned.

@kinimal is a rhythmically driven music lover from South East Queensland, Australia named Luke (Currently residing in Fremantle, WA) who has always been inspired & Guided by sound and the sensory; and mind effects that shape and manipulate perceptions and mood.

Kinimal has something special to offer and in his sets you can expect lovingly crafted journeys designed to invoke the meditative state felt during audio/sensory experiences, taking you on a psychedelic and sometimes experimental techno adventure playing a unique blend of Techno rhythms laced with Psychedelic elements aiming to create the euphoria felt during Psychedelic Trance whilst playing in a Techno landscape. 

Kinimal has been entertaining dusty dance floors at open air festivals and parties for more than 4 years, beginning in S/E Queensland and currently frequenting parties in the unique Perth Bush. He has had the pleasure of sharing the same bill with many International acts, talented local & Interstate artists. With a lifelong passion for music of all shapes and forms, and a firm lover of the craft of DJing he brings a confident enthusiasm which is only growing stronger.

Techgnosis Sessions 014 - Kinimal [AU]

We are honoured to kick our SoundCast series of with a headliner from our first ever event. For this Podcast, Kinimal has featured some of the huge releases planned for 2020 on Techgnosis Records. From the mainline Prog-Tech sound that Techgnosis has helped pioneer, to Dark Minimal and Dark Techno flavours that encompass a new direction they're also taking in.

Purpose built Progressive Techno Journeys woven from a Psychedelic perspective. Often dark and always playful, Kinimal sets are a melting pot of rolling Proggy Baselines and Dynamic Atmospheres, deliberately blurring the lines where Light and Dark sounds meet.

Perth based Techgnosis Records DJ Luke Kasapolli aka Kinimal has been active in the scene with regular appearances at festivals, clubs and undergrounds events in most corners of the country. For years now Kinimal has also grown the Techgnosis Records Label, boosting the Aussie Roster and helping to shine a light on the Myriad of Talent in our own back yard.

Kinimal History:

The Kinimal journey began in SE/QLD early 2014 and shortly after trading east for west he became a regular fixture in the local Perth scene, 2017 saw many successes; one of them was Joining Canadian Record Label Techgnosis Records as the official Australian Label DJ, then early 2018 he became a Label Manager. Without slowing down Kinimal gained some serious traction throughout 2019/20 grabbing the attention of promoters, label figures and scene aficionados Aus-Wide and Abroad, with successful appearances in nearly ever corner of Australia. Proving himself to be one of the Hardworking DJ's in the Scene. 

Label-wise he has had a creative hand in growing the Australian fanbase of Techgnosis Records through touring, unearthing Aussie new Talent and highlighting some of Australia's heavyweight Techno Producers.

Locally in Perth Kinimal has really upped the bar, being at the forefront for Progressive Techno DJ's in the Perth Underground Psy Scene which is trickling out into the wider scene. With plenty of support and recognition from Noteworthy and Successful Scene Producers, label Figures etc. Kinimal is fast becoming more and more recognised as a serious player in the Australian Progressive and Psychedelic Techno Scene.
