After a self-imposed hiatus, Sermon Selections returns with a shot in the night that was Art's recent set at Praxis. Art is a member of Naarm's Metroscape, a music collective exploring the boundaries of everything electronic, and that's exactly what they embarked upon across this near 2-hour-long mix. Hitting the crest of the wave round peak time, Art expertly carved a path through hypnotic pastiches of techno, trace, house, and disco. It will be a set we will cherish for a long time.

Praxis aims to put creative interpolations into action. Our meetings are ones of open and honest expression, with boundaries expanding beyond the limitations of the ego, encompassing and exceeding the spirit of our community.

It comes in many names - nipaluna, Hobart, cold ibiza - but we have always known it as an island paradise. And we appreciate that now more than ever. With our old places of worship closed or compromised due to concerns over COVID-19, our dance music community can exercise positive solidarity in the face of adversity through praxis. In lieu of "normality", Neu Hörizöns is running small community-based events, and releasing mixes and original material that can be enjoyed in comfort.

Neu Hörizöns' events take place on the stolen lands of the muwinina people, in nipaluna on lutruwita. We acknowledge the Tasmanian Aboriginal community, who have survived invasion and dispossession, and continue to maintain their identity, culture and Aboriginal rights to this day. Sovereignty was never ceded.

Neu Hörizöns believe in encouraging and promoting safe spaces for the purpose of artistic expression for all. We have zero tolerance for homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, xenophobia, misogyny, and negative or toxic vibes. Be wary of your position and your power. Look out for each other, the space, and yourself, and we will look out for you.
