This is a long lost dub from early 2006, found recently on a 10 year old hard drive I'd given up for dead, which miraculously powered up!  Rather than sitting hidden on a failing drive, I thought it would be better to upload here and give away, for free!  Please feel free to share :)

First release on Vital Sines is the Blueprint EP by UK producer Kanvas. From the jolting rhythms and double-dipped soundbites of 'Dragonfly', to the ascending rollage of 'Neon State', and the Chicago-tinged hat-tipping 'think' breakage of 'Tronic Soul', Kanvas takes you through a trademark sound that concludes with the deep atmospherics and deeper bass of 'Forget The Future'. There are echoes of early Jungle, Proto-Dubstep, Chicago House and UKG, but each track transcends the strict limitations of specific genre to forge a fresh inspired dancefloor sound that can only be described as 'bass music'.

Head of Vital Sines (new record label), former member of Clandestine Cultivations and part of Little Island Crew

        To date, he has had releases on Clandestine Cultivations, Little Island Records, Argon Records and Vital Sines / L2S Recordings (both under the Kanvas alias)

        He has held multiple residencies over the years - including Red Star Sessions, Dubpressure, Carbon, Rise, Platform 1, and Superdubpressure.

        He has played at various one-off events supporting artists such as Magnetic Man, DJ Vadim and Iration Steppas, whilst additionally performing at regular Dubstep events around the UK, including Detonate, FWD and HENCH.  Kion has performed three times at Outlook in Croatia (in 2009, 2010 and 2011 - the second being booked on the main stage), and  has also played in Greece, Scotland and Spain.

        From early 2006 until mid 2009 he co-promoted the long-running Dubpressure nights at The Volks Club in Brighton (now transferred to Life Club). Using the legendary Gramps HiFi Soundsystem, it was a first for Brighton, and at the time DJ Magazine voted Dubpressure as one of the top 5 Dubstep nights in the UK.

        Over the years his tracks have been supported by NType, Joe Nice, Djunya, Bunzer0, Moldy, Ben UFO, Blackdown, Scientist, Roko, Slaughter Mob, Mungo’s HiFi, RSD, Jack Sparrow, Scientist, Tes La Rock, Chef, Darkside and many many more.
