Jack Danzey’s a Naarm/Melbourne based DJ and collector. As one half behind the newly minted Australian label, Lunatic Music and party LUNACY, he’s played host to the likes of Conrad McDonald (Idjut Boys), Castro & Nemo (Sound Metaphors), DJ Honeypants and Trent (Cocktail d’Amore). With a reputation for the unexpected and exciting, often in the same beat, Jack's freestyle approach and genre-bending selections are hard to define and even harder to do without.

Raised in the heart of the Balearic homeland, Dj Aficionado cruises in at the right moment with an appropriately sun kissed selection. Currently based in Berlin, he has found a cosy corner on Refuge Worldwide where he regularly rides the waves with his show Francachela. Pathing his way through the nightlife, he pushes big-room Balearic sounds around town with Orbita, a freshly minted party he runs alongside Llupe. When asking Mikael about digs, genres, music and so on. He went on to say that he only sees '2 kinds of music - good or bad' that's irrespective of genres as there's too much good bag stuff to be discovered everywhere which in turn allows him play stuff from all over.

This mix focuses more on lovers, soul and street soul while keeping that machinedrum edge. Enjoy :)

Recorded live from a bursting Night Cat, feel the sweat off the walls as two old friends & esteemed contemporaries showed out. Travelling through raw uptempo grooves, pulsing deep house, acid explorations and straight hard slapping techno, the two take it everywhere and back again - holding an enthused party in the palm of their hands.

While the sounds of this raucous crowd was not recorded, if you listen closely you can feel the palpable energy as the lightly audible noise of jubilated dancers come through the stylus. Jammed and hot from an hour in and thick til close, this is audio proof of the way two very perceptive DJs can grab hold and take you to higher places.
