Bristol-based live act, producer, foremost artist Gilbert delivers the latest installment of the art:cast series: an one hour and eleven minute lasting journey through his own productions. After having released on labels such as Echocentric Records, his co-run label Innate, which he operates alongside Owain K, 030303 or Distorted Sensory Perception Tom, Gilbert’s surname, the artist teases us with some upcoming and unreleased material in his art;cast, which smoothly fits into his previous releases and enhances the artist’s musical diversity. Speaking of the latter, Gilbert’s art:cast takes the listener on a ride - not only through his own music but foremost through electronic music (sub)genres. Deep almost trancey chords here and there are enriched with some more Acid-bleeps there, Housey basslines make way for more techy ones, pad sequences turn into dreamy soundscapes and club-oriented vibes alternate with those that keep you calm and grounded. Gilbert’s art:cast has many facets to offer but remains true to one vibe, a homogenous construct with all the deepness music has to offer and also the knowledge to put a piece like this together, which wave-like guides one through the different stages of the euphoria, music can trigger.

Growing up in quite a musical and artistic environment, with a Jazz and percussion-obsessed father and a figure sculpting mum, the brothers had a childhood filled with impulses for what was to become their future passion. Channeling creativity through playing the saxophone, recording sounds or drawing and designing, they grew up with an endless enthusiasm for arts. Hip-hop, dub, funk and jazz played the main role as young teenagers and got into electronic music after discovering Belgium nightlife.   Their broad musical taste comes from working, discovering and hanging around in Wally's Groove World. Collecting music and spending time in the studio is what the two brothers have been up to the last few years. They recently launched ‘Souvenirs From Imaginary Cities, a new imprint in collaboration with Koen Galle. Style and genre is of no matter. The brothers take you on a musical adventure!

Daniela Huerta is an artist whose work oscillates between performance art, sound design, and multimedia projects. She has developed her very own style of sound collaging under the moniker Baby Vulture. She digs, she excavates, and when she raises her many voices, it's like a call—pure, long, and throbbing. In an almost archaeological manner, she continually searches for distinct tones, noises, and variables that allow her to distort the order of things. She dismantles preconceptions, aiming to create mind-bending states as a way to reconnect with oneself.

“I’ve always wanted to create and make things, even when I was a toddler. When all the other kids would play with toys that had been bought or given to them as presents, I was much more into making my own toys. I’d also design castles from cardboard and let my imagination go wild. So, when I discovered electronic music, I wondered how to go about doing it – create such an atmosphere in the track. I really love the ambience of early UK Techno, the atmosphere presented and how it all works together. It’s always a personal journey for me, regardless of what the artist had in mind while producing, you always find your own interpretation: mind music for sure.”

With the “It’s Just A Ride” Album, we finalise a project that has long been in the making. Watching Mihail’s growth and transition - the moment has come to release his intimate music for peace & understanding into this universe.

At our latest stage hosting for Drift we invited Islas for the closing slot. She blew us away with a floor-oriented set crossing genres on the move.

Islas' roots were in the visual art. As she grew, the curiousness to sound grew with her. Starting with sets bringing together ambient, ASMR and spoken word; currently reviving dance floors with energetic and highly percussive gems. As artistic busy bee, Ailsa co-founded the PLANET collective and helped in founding belgian dance label Basic Moves. As person, a down to earth girl whose determination immediately sparkes interests.
