Delsin is pleased to welcome the unique sound experimentalist @MachineWoman, presenting a captivating five-track journey out to the glitchy fringes of techno. MW, with her force of personality, continues to push the boundaries of her practice, offering bold and innovative approaches. She skillfully interlaces her voice through disorienting processes, embodying the essence of her self-styled mechanical organism.

In her hands, drums with a tangible in-the-room feel become precision-engineered components and needlepoint synthesis writhes with uncanny organic logic. The EP delves into themes exploring human behavior both online and offline, the delicate palette of breakbeat techno, and the transformative journey of aging. As the EP’s title implies, transformations can be dramatic and entrenched elegant qualities in oneself can become violent overnight, whether in terms of your look, your mindset or your ability to connect with others.

Through this ambiguous intersection of Woman and Machine comes a playful danceable impulse and a tracky focus which will give DJs plenty to work with even as they edge the errant frequencies and twitchy rhythms into the mix. While it’s far from straight-laced and functional, this Machine jacks as hard as it jolts, and yet there’s a sensual quality to MW’s processed voice peeking through the crunchy melee of ‘I Received Your Email Today’ which softens the attack.

It calls back to some of her earliest work, occupying a strangely inviting late-night hinterland where it’s hard to tell the replicants from the humans.

Based in Paris, Hewan Aman distills trance, psy and dub inspirations into her mixes, infused with both her Franco-Ethiopian heritage and rave and techno culture. Through her selections, she works on meticulous and singular narrations that combine granular soundscapes with captivating grooves. Patchworks that at times resonate as strong fast-paced vibes and other times slower, and more experimental atmospheres.

o•rbyss aims to help soothe the queer spectrum and focus on the well-being of the community. Queer DJs are invited to submit a mix to showcase an alternative side to their music library outside of a rave and take us on a meditative journey. ✨

Notes on the mix:

"Slowing down like this was more of a challenge than I had thought & more enjoyable than expected. It took a while to really sit on what sounds felt therapeutic to me, ones that weren't quite geared towards a high energy dancefloor. I knew I was into some ambient dreamy-esque soundscapes, those which had developed alongside the harder trance sound, but putting together this mix I realised just how much comfort I find in the grungier, more downtempo electro and psychedelic sounds. While putting together tracks I heard of Liana Padilha’s unfortunate passing, the lead singer & poet of Noporn. An amazing Brazilian electro/spoken word duo I had been lucky enough to see perform at Whole Festival last year, I have a couple of tracks from them in here as a minor ode to their work, one of my favourite sounds I had come across in the past few years."

Dublin based DJ and visual artist Bull Horris has been a consistent presence in the local and international scene over the past few years. Tender co-founder and resident for Strawberries, their love of the dancefloor and the cathartic moments it can bring translates into the music that can be heard throughout each set. Charging rhythms laced with sometimes political, oftentimes camp vocals, chord progressions that reminisce on that distinctly Euro sound, and a consistent heavy kick are the driving forces behind the sounds that Bull Horris loves to hear and play out.
