Late last October I was invited to play a warm-up set for the inaugural weekend of Horst Club. The perfect occasion to prepare something special, I took a stroll through my record collection and went deep into the stuff I’ve had for ages but was maybe too dark or strange to play. Starting off slow, this set winds through some kooky obscure percussion, intermittent bleeps, cosmic sparkles, apocalyptic voice samples (‘it’s the end of the world’, ‘can we change the future’).
My main aim was to arrive at the final track by Deg aka Circadian Rhythms… and after 2 hours and 22 minutes my mission was accomplished! As I handed the controls over to Marco Shuttle, he said it was a very ‘British’ selection… I guess I can’t help myself. 😀

Samuel Jabba was influenced by music from an early age. Interested in its futuristic appearance and visionary sounds began to produce electronic music. 

A few years after 2017 he moved to Barcelona to study music production and there his interest in techno, electro and acid house of the 90s grew, influenced by Nicolas Lutz, Michelle, Do Or Die, Corp, Onur Ozer and Craig Richards to name a few. 

Samuel’s productions have been played by DJ Masda, Binh, Craig Rishards, Z@p, Collin Chidle among others. In Barcelona he performed in different venues such as Red 58, Upload and others.

In 2019 he co-founded his own independent label called “From The Void Above”. As a digger, he enjoys researching music history, uncovering timeless music left behind from the early 90s to the early 2000s.

For the third podcast, mister Nick F, an avid vinyl collector and DJ, served us a magnificent dish full of early 2000s flavours. Part of Namazu collective, Nick F is an active DJ in the Swiss scene and has played in various locations around the country. His most recent events were at Passages festival from Point76 and Kiosk Luzern with his collective where he delivered serious tunes in B2B format :) If you like good music, don’t hesitate to check em out too.
