> Now I am putting together a folder with my recordings, which I recorded on Tascam.

Sirens. Mermaids. The Nereides sisters. Throughout mythology, there have been watery women seducing sailors to their deaths with the sweetness of their songs. In a special takeover of Scrying the Landscape, Loma Doom (@loma_doom) reimagines their enchanting voices, not as an aural danger symbolic of destructive sexual temptation, but as harmonious beings in their own right. Her mix glides through the sonorous beauty of women singing together, their voices full of longing, loneliness and desire.

This month, for the first hour Demord Enregistrements proposes to you a fresh recording from ⅔ of Kikkogal : Delphine Demord & Faïza. This mix was recorded during their “Nuit Tranquille” party on February 11 @ Le Chinois. Expect some dubby-dubby tunes, noisy transitions from outer space and heavy breaks. 

For the second hour, Delphine invites her longtime dear friend : DJ Osef from Metz (their teenage spleen city). She provides a mix with a lot of saturation, sounds of guns, jungle and turbine. Artists are essentially Flinta, queer and/or racialized. Kaboom !

'Personal quest in exploring the unknown and the familiar, at times dark, at others hopeful, victorious, wonderful. Each 2 months, for 2 hours a time, structured as a series of loosely connected shows, Vanja Rakić interprets a specific topic of choice, in the process excavating sounds from around the world made by those eager to question, and be at odds with the status quo. Embracing the unpredictability, letting go of control and dwelling into alien territory, “naked gums” is here to pose a peak into the alternative, drawing the curious in, and spitting them out on the other side of the tunnel, challenged hopefully.’

From Slobodan Tišma to Teatro Satanico, with Naked Gums #2: Italy vs. Yugoslavia, Serena and Vanja strategically clash the sounds of two nations sharing a reciprocal history made of racism, occupation, forced exodus and territorial claim yet at the same time a big fascination and admiration that lasts in part until today and that resembles a teenage love to which you remain tied forever.
