The plans were set; the flights had been booked, the house sold and they were existing out of suitcases and cardboard boxes. She painted a smile on most of the time and pretended this was the life she'd wanted all along. Perhaps it was... Or maybe she'd just tricked herself into believing that after faking it for so long. This wasn't her dream, it was someone else's — it was the wrong dream. 

Other Goodness kickstarted their label earlier this year with an inaugural release from our RSN family member Bawrut. Now their returning for instalment number two: a debut vinyl release from French producer Margee. Having remixed Tommy Guerrero last year for Copenhagen's Music For Dreams, this EP represents his first complete work which flaunts warm, dense grooves peppered with twinkling melodies. These originals get the remix treatment on the flip from Futureboogie alumni DJ Nature and one half of ALFOS, Sean Johnson under his inimitable Hardway Bros alias.

MAKS is 17 yr old Ben Marks a Sheffield based aspiring Musician, Producer / DJ & this, his debut release. Introduced to us by the always wonderful ‘Yarni' we were instantly drawn to how MAKS single ’North’ took us back to the 90’s. It’s also no surprise to hear that MAKS is a big fan of guys such as William Orbit & Moby.

Remix wise ’Sauco’ joins us again following his recent EP on COV & he stays true to the original yet effortlessly adds his magical Balearic touch. 

Yarni (Well we had to) delivers remix number two and it’s a wonderful reimagining that further proves to us that he is one of the most creative producers out there. 

This is a wonderful EP from a very talented young man with fantastic remixes from producers we much admire.

As the second installment of the 12inch series on the German Eine Welt label, the two musicians Alexander Arpeggio and Nixxon who has previously worked and released music under the moniker “Ekstern”, tasted the wonderful Künefe cake for the first time on an autumn evening in Berlin. They got so excited about the sweet cheesy taste that they wrote a song about it. An up-tempo dance floor banger with a punchy bass line,  synthesizer melodies, and vocals describing the middle eastern flavors that had tickled their tongues. 
On the B-side you’ll find Op beni Künefe as the down-tempo track with Turkish inspired melodies on top of a steady drum machine beat. Istanbul artist Hilal Can interprets the concept with sensual vocals as the sweet syrup on top of the crunchy pastry. The whole process of making the record took its time, but now it’s ready to be served. And served hot!

Dust particles flying in the rays of the sun, breaking through the curtains. Right now, more than anything in the world, you want to dive into water, no matter where: maybe in the fire pond, where Sanyok severely cut his leg with a bottle bottom last year, or even in the old bathtub filled with rainwater, standing in the middle of the garden for absolutely no reason, which tadpoles swim in. In recent years Kelly-Anne Byrne has earned a reputation as one of the finest selectors on the airwaves and one of Ireland’s top DJs.  Her DJ career began 15 years ago when a large vinyl collection and a love of soul and disco prompted her to drop a mixtape into The Dice Bar. From that point on she has been entertaining crowds from all over the country with top slots at all of Ireland’s festivals including, Electric Picnic, Longitude, Indiependence,  Sea Sessions, Metropolis and Forbidden Fruit. 

Kelly-Anne is the promoter/resident DJ at monthly night BURNIN’ UP in The Grand Social and also appears regularly at Mother Club and The Workman’s.  In February 2013 she began presenting The Saturday Weekender on Phantom 105.2 which earned her a nomination for Best Newcomer at the PPI Radio Awards.  She currently presents The Beat Goes On on Saturdays  and Sundays on Today FM (named ‘the best show on Irish radio’ by Jim Carroll in The Ticket) and the evening show on TXFM Dublin which gained her a nomination for Best Radio DJ at last year’s PPI Radio Awards. 

In the summer of 2015 Kelly-Anne got to share the stage with her music heroes Chic when she supported them at Iveagh Gardens, a dream come true for someone who has spent much of their life being dedicated to disco.
