Earlier this year Artefakt released a new album via Delsin, a striking collection of pensive electronics and techno which was designed as much to humble the independent listener as it was to intrigue on the dancefloor.

The Berlin based pair have become well known and acclaimed for their unique take on techno, often channeling deep ethereal soundscapes and melody atop rugged drums and percussion.

Over the years they have released material via the likes of Sungate, Konstrukt and Semantica Records. It is however Delsin where they appear to have made themselves most at home, releasing material which sits between worlds and defies the notion that techno might need to be rigid 4/4 focussed club music. 

We've featuured the pair several times previously. However, this is the first time that they have recorded a mix for the website, a special occassion given the scarcity of these sets.

Shimmy Robin ist DJ aus Hamburg und Teil des OSZIL-Kollektivs. Gemeinsam mit dj blip veranstaltet sie die Reihe blipmotif im legendären Golden Pudel Club. Ihre Sets führen durch ihre musikalischen Inspirationen und verbinden fesselnde Vocals mit orchestralen Akzenten und einer fein abgestimmten Dramaturgie.

INTERVIEW
Du bist musikalisch sehr divers aufgestellt: Welche Vorteile und Herausforderungen siehst du darin, viele verschiedene Genres aufzulegen, und wie beeinflusst das deine künstlerische Entwicklung?

Ich schätze die Abwechslung in Musik und Bewegung, die durch meinen klassischen Klavierhintergrund und den Einfluss von R’n’B und Soul geprägt ist. Es fasziniert mich, verschiedene Stile zu kombinieren und dabei etwas Einzigartiges zu schaffen.

Gemeinsam mit dj blip hostest du die Veranstaltungsreihe „blipmotif“ im Golden Pudel. Kannst du uns mehr über die Vision dahinter erzählen und wie sie entstanden ist?

Seit Herbst 2022 bin ich Teil dieser Reihe und dankbar, mit dj blip – Mentor & Best Friend –  die unterschiedlichsten Künstlerinnen einzuladen. Während wir bei unserem jährlichen Sommerfest überwiegend unsere fav. local Heroes dabei haben, konzentrieren wir uns die anderen Monate auf Artists, die uns kürzlich oder schon lange inspirieren und die wir der Szene hier vorstellen wollen.

Was war deine Lieblings-Dancefloor-Erfahrung und warum?

Tricky, weil es nicht die „Einzige“ Lieblings-Erfahrung gibt. Aber Momente völliger Hingabe zur Musik bei geschlossenen Augen mit herausragendem Sound und Lichttechnik, einer Handvoll guter Friends wie beim Climate of Fear, dem Nachtiville oder im Berghain bei Rene Wise’s Closing Set.

INTERVIEW
You have a very diverse musical approach: What are the advantages and challenges of playing many different genres, and how does this influence your artistic development?

I value the variety in music and movement, shaped by my classical piano background and the influence of R’n’B and soul. I’m fascinated by combining different styles and creating something unique in the process.

Together with dj blip, you host the event series “blipmotif” at the Golden Pudel. Can you tell us more about the vision behind it and how it came to be?

Since autumn 2022, I’ve been part of this series and am grateful to collaborate with dj blip – mentor and best friend – in inviting a wide range of artists. While our annual summer festival focuses mainly on our favorite local heroes, the other months highlight artists who have recently or long inspired us and whom we want to introduce to the scene here.

What was your favorite dancefloor experience and why?

That’s tricky, as there isn’t a single “favorite” experience. But moments of complete surrender to the music, with closed eyes, outstanding sound and lighting, and a handful of good friends – like at Climate of Fear, Nachtiville, or Rene Wise’s closing set at Berghain – are unforgettable.

Nuir is a self-taught producer and DJ based in Paris, known for her boundary-pushing approach to electronic music. Drawing inspiration from a rich electronic music culture that spans IDM, trance, techno, and the free party scene, Nuir has carved out a unique sonic identity.

She made her debut as a producer on Mama Told Ya and has since continued to push boundaries with her sound, releasing music on labels such as Maison Close, Ghetec, and, most recently, TM8.

Rooted in Parisian club culture and the French free party movement, Nuir has performed across numerous European cities, including Copenhagen, Bristol, and Yerevan.

Her music has received support from internationally recognized artists, including Mama Snake and Anetha, affirming her growing influence and fearless ability to merge hardware, software, vocals, and live instrumentation into a singular, evolving sound.

About the mix:
This one-hour mix embodies what I seek during this challenging time we are facing — a sonic space for both release and reflection. Deeply connected to the culture that has shaped my identity, I am now driven to contribute to this vision: music as a powerful political and emotional force, creating a space where everyone can freely express themselves.
I wanted the mix to reach both emotional depths and euphoric highs — blending deep introspection with high-energy club sounds. It's about connection through contrast, and the healing power of dance.
