We are beyond excited to kick off our Proxima Mix Series with a good friend and an artist we have been following for a long time now: Julia Mira.

Julia is an Estonian born DJ and visual artist based in The Netherlands.  As a part of Red Light Radio, she’s been regularly hosting radio shows, playing club nights and festivals, contributing to the podcasts during the past few years. Diving into diverse music genres, she creates a story, taking listeners on a journey through darkness to the light and back. 

With her unique trademark, Julia’s music is heterogeneous and rich in textures, offering a sensual experience in each set she plays, while at the same time leaving space for imagination, dreams, and mystery. 

Julia is also a painter: she associates the tracks with colors, which she intuitively uses to create a specific image in the minds of the listeners. 

From the early electronica, post-punk, raw, industrial, experimental sounds to dreamy ambient and sentimental Italodisco: discover her own interpretation of Proxima, building a constellation of her own that will illuminate your day.

Our dear friend Andrea Dama steps in as our next guest for the Proxima Mix Series - and we couldn’t be happier! 

Dama is an Italian DJ and producer based in Berlin. Since 2013, he’s been contributing to the local scene, starting with the now set-aside Oscillator party/label and the Dancing for Mental Health night at Sameheads. A long-time resident DJ of Cocktail d’Amore, he’s recognized for his eclectic selection and creative mixing style — and notoriously long back-to-back sets.

An avid digger with 15 years of experience mixing vinyls, he’s always evolving into new sonic territories and novel ways of combining records. Refusing to be defined by genre, his intent is rather to create a vibe that feels mental and energetic, while intimate and organic, underlined by a leftfield, underground sound.

Perfect way to step into the weekend!

The next Proxima mix comes straight from Switzerland and is signed by Max Bunt from Zurich. 

Max Bunt, aka Fabian, delivers 1 hour and 30 minutes of 100% Swiss productions from the late 70s to the 80s. A real delight. 

A regular at Camp Cosmic, Max Bunt is a flea market enthusiast and is always on the lookout for unique sounds that leave us, the listeners, both surprised and dreaming. 

He has quickly established himself as a figure for cosmic music fans in Europe, thanks to his unique mixes.

Nicola Kazimir inhabits various positions — be it as DJ, producer, space-owner, record label owner, and party organizer. For Nicola, these numerous positions are not static, and they can act fluidly and reciprocally as a whole, or as separate entities. “This mix is a snapshot of my musical journey, from dreamy, deep ambient to broken, experimental structures. My love for diverse sounds started with a CD my dad gave me, a drum & bass collection, and it shaped my taste for both straightforward and twisted rhythms. Here I wanted to explore textures that pull you in, blending ambient moods with hip hop grooves and experimental twists. It is a space where sounds stretch, collide and breathe, dynamic, alive and open to both listening and feeling.”
