It was a joy to play the warm up set at Optimo's New Year's Day party in The Berkeley Suite earlier this month. The night started at 8pm (until 4am...so a long night) and the room took a while to get busy so I felt it was completely acceptable to veer into the stranger atmospheric territories of my record collection. By half an hour or so in, people had started arriving and dancing so things pick up around halfway through but I still keep the tempo below 110bpm for a slow build.
