Yaga Gathering   In Lithuania played a special role in my dj career. it was one of my first gigs outside of lovely  Estonia back in 2003. And I'm happy to see that gathering still happening after 20 years and I'm still playing on it. In fact, it grow from 300 people forest freaks party in the woods into one of the most authentic and professional festivals in the Baltic region. For this special anniversary edition, I decided to play a vinyl set like it was back in those early days of the scene combining old trance records with modern trancey techno sounds.  www.yaga.lt

The guest of the 35th episode of Pink Eyed Blue is Nebojša Bogdanović aka SCHWABE, a key DJ and producer from the epicenter of the Belgrade scene. As one of the founders and a permanent member of the prodigiously curated Disco Not Disco series he did a lot for the rise of the local 20/44 club to its cult status and European reputation. Schwabe is also known as the co-founder of Tapan duo, which is one of the sharpest purveyors of the slow burning, haunting and mystical themes at the legendary Malka Tuti record label. You can find their experiments with hypnotic industrial disco that crosses leftfield electronica with folk and dub in the catalog of the Offen Records run by the former Pink Eyed Blue guest, Vladimir Ivkovic. Tapan presented a self released two sided EP a month ago on which they have tried to collaborate with new people and experiment with new sounds. No genres, no boundaries, no rush, no formula. Just like in the case of this chapter. Schwabe brings a special Ozorian vibe through his own psy/tribal aspect. A trip to great energy and deep zones! Don’t miss this out!

Mostly connected with the lysergic festival circuit, Don Pepe has always refused to be pigeonholed, often labeling his diverse sound palette as “Travel Music”, plain and simple. Old, New, or Timeless – as long as the music is authentic, groovy, and transcendent, Pepe will share it, in one context or another. Having been a borderless “adventurer” in his youth, music is today his way to channel this “divine fool” archetype constructively.

His productions tend to have a similar non-conformist feel, often flirting with certain schools of sound, yet always staying outside looking in. Most notorious is his collaborative Pepe’s Bodega project, of which the debut LP “La Chorrera” from 2023 has been universally praised for its coherent concept and uncompromising danceability. The studio is currently boiling – stay tuned!
