Beyond the counter, you’ll find them behind the decks at some of our favourite dancefloors, their enigmatic sound, often groovy, deep and perfectly dosed with 80's flair, regularly leaving even the deepest diggers stumped. For this new episode of our live podcast series, we present the debut live set by Cabanelas — a sincere and carefully crafted journey through his musical vision, recorded in one of the most emblematic clubs of his hometown.

Ignacio Cabanelas, born in Montevideo in the late '80s, began collecting records and producing music before making his DJ debut in 2015 at Phonotheque. That same year, he co-launched the party series No Way Back, a project born from a shared passion for electronic music.

In 2018, he co-founded the label Montevideo Electric Recordings (MER) with Santiago Uribe, Juan Dairecshion, and Soto, with the aim of supporting and releasing music from the region.

This recording captures a special moment, his first ever live set, and offers a glimpse into his evolving sound.

This set is dedicated to Agustín Campolo (RIP), a friend and an inspiration.
