Star Wars - Imperial march - Live on a Cavaillé-Coll pipe organ

Composed by Frederick Llewellyn Marriott (1901-1989). This piece is my recording made on the organ for which it was composed, the 1927 Skinner Organ Company Opus 634 at The University of Chicago Rockefeller Memorial Chapel. Marriott was the University Organist and Carillonneur to the Chapel from 1932 to 1954.

Frederick L. Marriott: The Cathedral At Night

This piece is a set of variations on an old Christmas carol, Noel Nouvelet composed in 1922 by Marcel Dupré (1886-1971). Sometimes, this tune is used in congregational singing in churches with the text "Sing we now of Christmas" or "Now the green blade rises" at Easter.

This performance is from my masters degree recital at The University of Michigan, which I completed with the guidance of Dr. Marilyn Mason. This was recorded on the Henry Simmons Frieze Memorial Organ in Hill Auditorium at Ann Arbor, Michigan. 

Dupré: Variations Sur Un Vieux Noel

This is the great Passacaglia and Fugue composed by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750). This is taken from my junior recital performance at Valparaiso University on the Fred and Ella Reddel Memorial Organ in the Chapel of the Resurrection.

Moonlight on the Lake was composed by Frederick Marriott in 1948 while he was serving as the first organist and carillonneur at The University of Chicago. The title was suggested to him by his teacher and friend, the French organist Marcel Dupré while the two of them were walking along the shores of Lake Michigan in Chicago.
