02062021- Holy Doo

A new music genre called Humdown! It's a way to express your dissatisfaction with the minor inconveniences in life. An acapella version of each instrument is performed at the same time the instrument plays. A hum track accompanies the vocals. This incredibly weird exercise was done in response to a neighbor saying "there have been no truly new innovative new genres in music since Devo" I accepted the challenge and invented Humdown.

The silly name came from a fictional movie character naming a fictional product.

This one is inspired by a phrase from a Yoga with Adriene where she asks you to reach up and tickle the clouds, I laughed out loud and then decided that had to be a phrase in the track I wrote that day.

This is a fun track made for February ICS. As a birthday month I wanted to do something sci-fi my favorite genre. The art is generated by Dall-e an AI-assisted design, the prompts were futuristic city and okay music in a gothic graphic novel style.

02042023- Okay Music

This one I had lyrics for for over a year I just sang to a click track, and my friend and musical collaborator Nick Carden made a whole piece of music around it for ICS in November 2022. 

The topic is when you run into an ex partner and they are like doing fabulous and have moved on, and you are still there in the same place you were before doing the same things you were before. Trying to capture that feeling.
