I recently had the game click with me after leaving greenpath, and after bouncing off the game a few times. Happy to have this playing on repeat lately, its so dense with instruments :D

This is a recently completed remix/rearrangement of the Last Battle theme from the indie game Cave Story.  For this mix, I went for a sort-of fusion between Pendulum and orchestral.

"Evil Destroyer" from the 1992 Sega Genesis/Mega Drive game "Thunder Force IV", composed by Takeshi Yoshida.

This is not from emulation. This was recorded from a genuine Model 1 Sega Genesis console with a VA6 motherboard and modded with RCA jacks. This audio was then amplified by a FiiO E6 and captured by a Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro at 24-bit/96khz through Audacity, then losslessly encoded using FLAC. In other words, it's clean and authentic Sega Genesis hardware sound. All credit for this recording goes to "The Iron Goat".

This is an arrangement of one of my favorite pieces from Hollow Knight, which is one of my favorite games. Greenpath was where the game first “clicked” for me, and I’ll always fondly remember that area.

Christopher Larkin's music is a big part of why I loved Hollow Knight as much as I did - he created a beautiful musical identity for the game. (He also made all the sound effects, which blows my mind.) This arrangement is based on the harmony and structure of "Greenpath," though I worked in some of his other motifs, as well. It was really fun to put it all together, particularly because each of his melodies and motifs fits so well with the other ones.

INSTRUMENTS PLAYED: Flute, clarinet, alto and tenor sax, melodica, whistle, vocals, xylophone, shaker, shells, promotional coffee mug, acoustic and electric guitar, ukulele, piano, bass, drums, wine glasses.
