A beautiful, famous forecastle shanty I first discovered and fell in love with in Assassin's Creed 4. Original track was specially recorded as a lullaby for Leigh Alexander. I then added the second track/harmonies and shared - Matthew S. Burns (@mrwasteland) then contributed the exquisite pedal tones and reverb, giving it a whole new shape and depth.

Interpretation taken largely from the excellent in-game shantyman; harmonies borrowed from the masterful The Corries (http://bit.ly/1aOWP70).

I wrote new theme music for Defector's sports podcast "The Distraction." I love those guys and am super into what Defector is doing, so it was a treat to write this.

Instruments Played: Guitar, bass, synth, keys, alto and tenor sax, Roland Aerophone. Drums weren't recorded live, though I considered it.
