At the tender age of 7, after losing his parents, Guru Ji, then known as Bhai Jeta Ji, started carrying a basket of boiled chickpeas on his head to sell in the streets of Lahore. Bhai Jeta Ji had the doors of his relatives close on him when he needed them the most, but after receiving the comforting words of Guru Amar Das Ji, he never gave up. Bhai Jeta Ji went through a journey of carrying a basket of boiled peas, to carrying baskets of dripping cement to becoming Guru Ram Das Ji & having a canopy over their head.

We often think that falling is failing, but Guru Ram Das Ji teaches us that falling is learning & becoming humble. Finding ways of picking ourselves back up from the fall is never giving up.

Join us on Saturday 18th September from 5:45 pm - 8 pm at Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara in Handsworth Wood, Birmingham. We will be starting the evening with Sri Rehras Sahib.
