Oh Waheguru this time please, please, please forgive me, please clear me of all my sins, all my bad deeds. Please have mercy on me and make me yours completely so that I do not have to come back into this world, into the cycle of life and death again. I do not want to dwell in this body within which are the five thieves holding me captive. They take control of my mind and make me do things that my soul does not want to. I am weak and I become submissive to them. When I reach your door at the end, they will run away and I will be left to blame. I am innocent Guru Ji, please save me 🥺 Only you can save me 🙏💔

koee bolai raam raam koee khudhaae ||
Some call the Lord 'Ram, Ram', and some 'Khuda'.

koee saevai guseeaa koee alaahi ||1||
Some serve Him as 'Gusain', others as 'Allah'. 

kaaran karan kareem ||
He is the Cause of causes, and Generous. 

kirapaa dhhaar reheem ||1|| 
He showers His Grace and Mercy upon us. 

koee naavai theerathh koee haj jaae ||
Some pilgrims bathe at sacred shrines, others go on Hajj to Mecca. 

koee karai poojaa koee sir nivaae ||2||
Some do devotional worship, whilst others bow their heads in prayer. 

koee parrai baedh koee kathaeb ||
Some read the Vedas, and some the Koran. 

koee oudtai neel koee supaedh ||3||
Some wear blue robes, and some wear white. 

koee kehai thurak koee kehai hi(n)dhoo ||
Some call themselves Muslim, and some call themselves Hindu. 

koee baashhai bhisath koee suragi(n)dhoo ||4||
Some yearn for paradise, and others long for heaven. 

kahu naanak jin hukam pashhaathaa ||
Says Nanak, one who realizes the Hukam of God's Will,

prabh saahib kaa thin bhaedh jaathaa ||5||

Sorath, Fifth Mehl:

ਹਮ ਮੈਲੇ ਤੁਮ ਊਜਲ ਕਰਤੇ ਹਮ ਨਿਰਗੁਨ ਤੂ ਦਾਤਾ ॥
We are filthy, and You are immaculate, O Creator Lord; we are worthless, and You are the Great Giver.

ਹਮ ਮੂਰਖ ਤੁਮ ਚਤੁਰ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਤੂ ਸਰਬ ਕਲਾ ਕਾ ਗਿਆਤਾ ॥੧॥
We are fools, and You are wise and all-knowing. You are the knower of all things. ||1||

ਮਾਧੋ ਹਮ ਐਸੇ ਤੂ ਐਸਾ ॥
O Lord, this is what we are, and this is what You are.

ਹਮ ਪਾਪੀ ਤੁਮ ਪਾਪ ਖੰਡਨ ਨੀਕੋ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਦੇਸਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
We are sinners, and You are the Destroyer of sins. Your abode is so beautiful, O Lord and Master. ||Pause||

ਤੁਮ ਸਭ ਸਾਜੇ ਸਾਜਿ ਨਿਵਾਜੇ ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਨਾ ॥
You fashion all, and having fashioned them, You bless them. You bestow upon them soul, body and the breath of life.

ਨਿਰਗੁਨੀਆਰੇ ਗੁਨੁ ਨਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਤੁਮ ਦਾਨੁ ਦੇਹੁ ਮਿਹਰਵਾਨਾ ॥੨॥
We are worthless - we have no virtue at all; please, bless us with Your gift, O Merciful Lordand Master. ||2||

ਤੁਮ ਕਰਹੁ ਭਲਾ ਹਮ ਭਲੋ ਨ ਜਾਨਹ ਤੁਮ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥
You do good for us, but we do not see it as good; You are kind and compassionate, forever and ever.

ਤੁਮ ਸੁਖਦਾਈ ਪੁਰਖ ਬਿਧਾਤੇ ਤੁਮ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਬਾਲਾ ॥੩॥
You are the Giver of peace, the Primal Lord, the Architect of Destiny; please, save us, Your children! ||3||

ਤੁਮ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਅਟਲ ਸੁਲਿਤਾਨ ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸਭਿ ਜਾਚੈ ॥
You are the treasure, eternal Lord King; all beings and creatures beg of You.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਮ ਇਹੈ ਹਵਾਲਾ ਰਾਖੁ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੈ ਪਾਛੈ ॥੪॥੬॥੧੭॥
