Quelza - La Valse 06 [Artaphine Premiere]

Material Ventures is my first official EP. Over eight months I produced numerous tracks demonstrating a broad spectrum of techno, initiating with a blend of tech-house and techno and culminting in some blatantly dark techno atmospheres. It manoeuvres across BPM's, energy, emotion and rhythm attempting to lighten the load for DJ's with abrupt changes and emphatic switches. Being comprised primarily of samples recorded from my modular eurorack and other studio tools a lot of the sounds are consequently very experimental.

The name of the EP was originally derived from an alias I planned to use but thought it more fitting as a title for the EP. It avoids being too cryptic and purely references the inspiration derived from sonic ventures of playing live on physical hardware and instruments, hence 'Material Ventures'. I am incredibly excited to share this EP with the community. On that note, expect more releases in due time.

Gestalt Groove

Jerical, who has brought out numerous minimalistic but always effective techno cuts and released mainly on his own label of the same name, is set to collaborate with Tar Hallow for two upcoming EPs.

TH12, a hard-hitting 4 tracker, is the first one and it is coming out on the 28th of February, available on vinyl (limited lathe cut) and digital. The second will be under the TAR series and it is expected this spring.
