A band employing a classic line-up to produce a classic and well-honed rock sound. 'Prussia' ceased its operation almost 20 years ago, and was once led by 'Johannes Tibursky', check his current project out on www.tibursky.com 
What sat 'Prussia' above their contemporaries however, is the quality of their songs and the production values used to capture them.
The breadth and scope of the subject matter combined with assured and inventive arrangements is also mightily impressive. This was a band that at the peak of their powers was leading us down avenues of hope, despair, darkness and light to emerge renewed, refreshed and invigorated by the journey’s end.
Rarely will you come across music better than this.

Some songs, when heard for the first time, have such a rich sense of familiarity that you'd be forgiven for thinking they had been around forever. Johannes Tibursky is the singing, song-writing, musical phenomenon behind just this kind of song.

His musical roots lie in the British alternative scene of the 70s and 80s with bands like Echo & The Bunnymen and the Jesus and Mary Chain, but also with the likes of Joy Division, and David Bowie. These influences, together with the those from his home town, Berlin, have served to shape the unmistakable sound that is TIBURSKY.

Over the years he has released a string of albums and singles as singer and principal songwriter of the band Prussia, as well as producing a similarly impressive body of work under his own name, TIBURSKY, while at the same time composing numerous, outstanding soundtracks for cinema and advertising projects.

A NEW BAND, A NEW ALBUM AND TWO NEW VIDEOS. 
TIBURSKY has taken a new direction and replaced the grand, epic-scale, rock hymns with a simpler, more stripped-down flavour; just guitar, piano and some space for the voice. TIBURSKY releases “Acoustic Sessions” on 14th August 2020, their brand new four-track EP alongside two new videos. The band is currently at work on a new album, scheduled for release in Spring 2021.
