This is my small contribution to the à cappèlla music genre. There is no AI here; everything was composed from scratch and in the old-fashioned way. The baroque fugue lessons taught by late Sister Xavier, a cheerful nun who was my piano teacher when I was nine, were especially useful here. 

All vocals were performed and recorded by the talented Argentine musician Mick Jimenez Barr, a baritone singer who also helped choose the best phonemes for this little piece.

My first Christian Song.

This was a hard one to write — not because I don’t believe, but because I’ve never tried to express faith through music before. I’ve always lived between genres: cinematic, emotional, electronic. But with “Grace in the Silence,” I let go of the pressure to be perfect and just told the truth.
It’s a prayer disguised as a song. It’s about being broken, lost, and still being found. It’s about hearing God not in noise or thunder — but in the silence, when everything else falls away.
Yes, it’s EDM. Yes, it has drops, and cinematic synths. But it’s also soft, real, and deeply spiritual.
I hope this helps someone out there feel seen.

Grace in the Silence

Originally I had written this more than a year ago under the heavy influence of Sonic Youth and Thurston Moore memoirs in particular (around the same time as "Forgotten Boy" which was also driven by the same matters). I tried to record it back then though the result wasn't quite satisfying, so until now it existed only as an Instagram reel where I was playing it live.

It could have remained like this if I hadn't realized that this tune might fit in perfectly with my new Da Tape De H project. So here it is, wide dynamics and fierce high-gain strumming properly produced and put on tape with Tascam 424 MKIII portastudio.
