As a community of artists and musicians, the loss of Ghost Ship in Oakland struck an all too familiar nerve. To lose contributors and comrades in a movement towards peace and understanding of all individuals is always a body blow, but to further deepen the wound, we are reminded of the hazardous conditions places that foster these ways tend to have. This was something we have all experienced, many of us know what it is to play in a space with only one exit, or to be in poorly assembled and maintained living and working spaces for inability to attain a suitable environment. 

We feel compelled as creators ourselves to honor those we lost, as well as aid those who are still hurting from this tragedy. We've teamed up and assembled a collection of songs to stand in solidarity with those affected. 

All earnings will be donated directly to the individuals affected by the tragedy.

11/18/16:
It was about 8:15 am. I woke up with the intent to work on music, but I felt burnt out. I had just finished a few albums that I had been working on like Putz n Glo Palace, ECCO ISLAND, and AGE OF THE MACHINE. So, I didn't really have a drive to create that morning.

Then I heard a loud noise from outside my window, it was some truck passing by I think. I then went over to the window to look outside. It was a rainy morning and felt especially gray and dreary in a way. In doing this, I got the idea to record the street noise outside my window. There was so much going on at 8:15. 

Using that recording, I wrote this song that morning. The recording acts as the atmosphere and foundation for the whole track. It felt really good writing something completely random, instead of writing for a specific theme or album. I didn't know how I felt about the track or what to do with it at the time, so I let it sit for a while.

Now listening back I love it and want to release it just as a single, unattached to any album. This is a real synth heavy track, hope you enjoy it.
