OFF 113 debuts french duo "Melokolektiv" and Darlyn Vlys to the label.

Melokolectiv (Crosstown Rebels, Get Physical), a duo already known for their deep and harmonious beats and Darlyn Vlys (Get Physical, Upon You), head of Sincopat and one of the most prolific tech house luminaries around got together to create a profound deep-tech groove with an indie influence preparing the mood for Forrest adding a catchy vocal, and turning this one into an anthem with a very soul tangling appeal.

For the remix we had the pleasure of winning Berlin's Kiki, who kept the vibe intact adding melodic leads that take the scene complementing a bouncy bassline and using the vocal in a very minimal tasteful way.

The package is completed with a dub version of the original, suited to the darker moments and sets.

Henry Saiz last EP on Suara was a great achievement for the label. We are in love with the Spanish artist's music. He already made some amazing tracks for us. Now we feel is the time for a remix package. Some of the coolest artist of the moment have revisited 'Dystopian' and 'Lucero del Alba' and they have bring the tracks to another level: Kris Davis did a delicate and deep mix, Few Nolder goes in a techno way  with a fat bassline and a great job with the high-end sounds. Moscoman takes 'Lucero del Alba' to his onirical world and Fabrizio Mamarella deliveres a dark italo-disco version of “Dystopian”. Huge package only for connaisseurs.

After showcasing his knack for emotive productions via various EPs throughout his career, including chart-topping singles on Hot Since 82’s Knee Deep in Sound and Dave Seaman’s Selador, the Swiss artist Several Definitions now reveals his first full-length album. It should come as no surprise that the artist found familiarity in what he calls the “Berlin style” of electronic music and notably, that of Oliver Koletzki’s Stil vor Talent.

Reborn After The Road is an intense and emotional affair, consisting of 14 tracks crafted using field and live recordings, switching between analogue and digital to mould a sonic atmosphere that emblazons the artist’s core ethos. Although the personal experience that sparked the inspiration for the LP is far from pleasant, Several Definitions’ style is audibly resolute.

Reborn After The Road, the album’s eponymous track, creates a fitting intro for the healing process that is to follow. Its airy pads and majestic strings sonically stand at the epicenter of the expressive album. Several Definitions continues to explore these sounds on vaporous slices like Pontcéard 32 or the more acidical Last Breath. The mellifluous, feminine vocals of LaMeduza on Learn To Feel and Her, as well as Spanish singer Goldsun’s crooner talents on the introspective Trust, on the other hand, showcase Several Definitions’ ability to work the human voice into his musical explorations. Taking introspection one step further towards darker realms, Senelity then feels like a rite of passage into the deeper and more intense segment at the album’s core. Over You briefly signals a turning point, with its alarm-like synths and grave leads, which is then followed by the glitchy resistance on Modular Spaces. The Escape presents itself as a natural occurrence after the string of turbulent, sometimes conflicting feelings – it is a final attempt at evading the depths of animosity. Next, Dancing With Valkyrie comes in as a determined resolution, introducing a new wave of more enduring, complacent moods, also evident on Help and Don’t Stop To Fall. Preparing the exit by way of straight-to-the-point techno, Target Topic rolls into Her, the final piece of the emotional puzzle.

Conceptually, Reborn After The Road is the sonic vessel for a cathartic process, conjuring up atmospheres reminiscing of different phases in life: childhood, the strength of unconditional love, and the inevitable sorrow that accompanies death. The humanity of the emotions on show explains the music’s universal appeal, as Several Definitions offers the listener a glimpse into an artistic healing process.

Headed by a Carioca who was blessed with the name of
his own hometown, MooDisco contains a 3-track bomb from Leo Janeiro with DOC label boss Gui Boratto and a very special remix by French act Rodriguez Jr.  

This could just be a happy coincidence, where it’s not for the fact that Leo’s trajectory made him a protagonist of the electronic music scene in his hometown, Rio de Janeiro.  He built a career dedicated to music. In a city with so many daytime attractions, it is the night and electronic music that has been blessed with his talent.  He has compiled an impressive list of residencies and performances globally. Known as one of the ambassadors for Brazilian electronic music, Leo has the ability to combine originality with a universal language. Just like his hometown.

On this limited edition vinyl and digital release, Leo Janeiro, Gui Boratto and Rodriguez Jr. present a serious track sequence of techno and house beats. Each artist has kept its own trademark.  ”I had a lot of ideas and one of them was to have a remix by an artist that I admire, respect and have a personal relationship”, says Leo Janeiro.

Rodriguez Jr. (Oliver Mateu), shared his unique talent creating a remix for MooDisco.  He is the one half of French electro act The Youngsters – best known for their two studio albums and singles for Laurent Garnier’s label. Rodriguez Jr. reveals a different incarnation of Mateu’s musical psyche; moving through shimmering, contemplative electronica, to deep and urgent techno, leftfield melodic accents and quirky pop refrains.  A perfect blend for this project.

MoodDisco is a combination of artists and friends on the move. They are tireless in enthusiasm and are bursting with new tunes and projects.

Schlepp Geist has been invigorating Leipzig‘s scene and sound for quite a while now and with certainty will do even more so with this upcoming, vigorous EP on Distillery Records. 
He shaped up the opening and lead track „Dust“ with so much potential, that he just had to carve out two versions, serving slightly different elds of application. The „Outdoor Mix“ incorporates all the essentials of an utmost classy peaktime affair that will apply to the affec- tive dynamics of crowds in larger numbers. Single lasting notes ensnaring micro-percussive patterns, haunted vocals creating somewhat of an emotive song-quality within the track-like arrangement, a break evidently bursting with tension and energy, in short: the maximum in effect, without compromising in style and attitude. The „Indoor Mix“ on the other hand highlights rather tribal- esque rhythms and a more subtle and deep quality to the groove, tweaking it for ultimate club-duties. Following up is „Shiver“, a tune that delves into deeper realms, introducing a ltered-in piano-motif that progresses into pure Acid bliss. Toolhouse splendour that surely will send shivers of joy down many spines. „Last“ opens up yet another sound aesthetic, bringing heavy breaks and a bassline into play that at some point in Techno history would have been considered „Knartz“. Comparative minds might even sense some tribute to „Flatbeat“ within this mix. At least up until the point, elevating pads add a more romantic notion to the tune. Chris Manura then nally lays his hands and mind on that very „Last“, translating it into a 4/4 scheme, referring to the original‘s bassline here and there, but in general teasing out a completely different temper that‘s built on sparkling synths, a 
straight groove, deep mentality and epic arrangement.
