I started to write this song after dropping out of high school a second time. I felt lost and scared and was dealing with a lot at the time (homelessness, trauma, grief, break up, no job). I didn’t know what the future would hold, but I decided I wasn’t going to worry about it. instead just focus on me, my friends, the now/present moment and having fun. life is too short and you should live it to the fullest while you’re young and still can. 

it wasn’t until after getting kicked out of university that i finished the song because i felt all those emotions again. I still wanted to live life to the fullest. so I thought to myself “I’m going to finish and share this song with the world as my way of living in the now and hopefully i can encourage others to do the same.”
