Tess Parks was born and raised in Toronto but moved to London at seventeen to pursue music and to study photography. She has played solo for the past four years.

Having moved back to Toronto in 2012, she put together her amazing psychedelic backing band of "sexy and talented musicians”, The Good People.
Early in 2013, she self-released a very popular EP ‘Work All Day/Up All Night’
Tess describes her songs as "lo-fi alternative drones with a hypnotic vibe”. Influences include Elliott Smith, friends the Dandy Warhols and all the classics: "I was brought up on Bob Dylan, Nirvana, The Beatles, Rolling Stones and Zeppelin.”

She met Alan McGee in London. "We stayed in touch, that was it really. I just got so lucky. I love Oasis, Jesus and Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine… He’s affiliated with all of my favourite musicians.”

Tess recorded her album of scuzzy, downbeat psychedelia (think Mazzy Star crossed with The Brian Jonestown Massacre) across the summer. It’s been pre-empted by the release of her debut single proper ‘Somedays’.

These 6 previously unreleased tracks are a collection of B-Side material from our last EP 'Mansions'. As part of our mailing list now, you are welcome to stream or download this record which no one has ever heard before.

The release of this was sparked by the response we received from the leak of the track 'Walrus' and the resulting public push for us to release more material from the last record that was left on the cutting room floor. This record, unlike 'Mansions', was mixed and mastered independently by us in the same style and fashion as our first full length album 'Candy Flu'. For this reason these B-Side tracks share a similar sonic touch as both 'Mansions' and 'Candy Flu'.

We're very grateful for the support we have received over the years and it makes us incredibly happy and proud to release material we have written together which would have otherwise been lost in the Ether.

This release is best served with Gin and THC late in the evening, and we recommend for optimum sonic sound that it is ingested in bed or laying down with your eyes closed and your mind thirsty.
