It features 3 very different style tracks I've made recently with fellow Chicago producer/DJ Renan.  It's actually his very first Drum+Bass release, so we're both excited to get it out there.

The U.K.-based producer returns to the imprint and delivers a beautiful set of Liquid compositions that show off his keen song-writing ability.  Dan Guidance continues to build an impressive catalogue of songs, and the “Instant Connection EP” is another journey into his creative world.  

The release kicks off with the hypnotic sounds of the title track, “Instant Connection.”  The song is highlighted by steady ticking drums, warping keys, edgy mid-basslines, and a mesmorizing backdrop os synth pads and strings. “Fuzzy Buzz,” is up next and drifts along with its warm piano chords, crunchy drums, rolling sub-bassline, and ethereal vocals.  “Find Me,” is up next and captures a more dance floor vibe with its reese baseline, epic vocals, drenched backdrop, and stripped down drum pattern.  Dan Guidance lays down the wicked Liquid/Jungle vibes in the track, “This is the Last Time.”  The track blends wandering horn riffs, echoing vocals, and a warm sub-baseline, falling underneath a choppy Jungle break.  “When There’s Soul,” rounds things out in style with its echoing piano keys, airy pads, snappy drums, and bouncing bassline.  Dan Guidance continues to make a name for himself in the production scene.  The Instant Connection EP will further expose the listeners to the magical production skills that he possesses. Somewhere deep in the breakbeat backwoods, a squirrel got into a stash of old jungle dubplates and never looked back.

Skankin’ Squirrel is a full-throttle jungle banger where bluegrass fiddle loops dance over chopped Amen breaks, and an annoyingly catchy squirrel vocal scats, chants, and squeaks like it’s headlining a barn rave inside a treehouse.

The energy is chaotic but precise — like Cotton-Eye Joe got a reload in a pirate radio station run by woodland creatures on too much caffeine.
The drops are thick. The bass wobbles with the raw funk of a moonshine-powered subwoofer.
