About the EP-*

In Norse mythology, a valkyrie  from Old Norse valkyrja "chooser of the slain") is one of a host of female figures who choose those who may die in battle and those who may live. Selecting among half of those who die in battle (the other half go to the goddess Freyja's afterlife field Fólkvangr), the valkyries take their chosen to the afterlife hall of the slain, Valhalla, ruled over by the god Odin. 

There, the deceased warriors become einherjar (Old Norse "single (or once) fighters"). When the einherjar are not preparing for the events of Ragnarök, the valkyries bear them mead. Valkyries also appear as lovers of heroes and other mortals, where they are sometimes described as the daughters of royalty, sometimes accompanied by ravens and sometimes connected to swans or horses.

Valkyries are attested in the Poetic Edda (a book of poems compiled in the 13th century from earlier traditional sources), the Prose Edda, the Heimskringla (both by Snorri Sturluson) and the Njáls saga (one of the Sagas of Icelanders), all written—or compiled—in the 13th century. They appear throughout the poetry of skalds, in a 14th-century charm, and in various runic inscriptions.

In Halo we dive into muddy terrains and textures. Melodic lines like repetitive mantras guide us through a journey and a nocturnal dance surrounded by dreamlike and spatial forms.
Two tracks that invite you to dream, travel, transport and dance while Chef Sebas continues to cook more tracks to close this universe of dembow and abstract reggaeton.

Después del lanzamiento Gota de Agva, SebaSchiume nos presenta Halo, su nuevo EP en donde continúa explorando la clave del dembow, los bpms bajos y las melodías exóticas. En Halo nos sumergimos en terrenos fangosos y texturas. Líneas melódicas como mantras repetitivos nos guian por un viaje y un baile nocturno rodeado de formas oníricas y espaciales.

Dos temas que te invitan a soñar, viajar, transportarte y bailar mientras el chef Sebas continúa cocinando más temas para cerrar este universo de dembow y reggaeton abstracto.

We welcome you to have a glimpse of the sounds from a legendary culture that has shaped a unique way of understanding art and beauty. For this, our friend Aroma directly from Delhi brings us his latest work: ¨Hindustan EP¨, a journey filled with beautiful sonic spaces plus 2 great remixes from Jack Essek and Twerking Class Heroes.

¨I have always been inspired by the diverse cultures, art & music that highlights the importance of traditions in different parts of the world. Most of my music emanates from nature, spirituality & culture, I thus call it ¨ spiritual world music¨

This EP is a combination of classical Indian music with modern day electronic beats. All the tracks on the EP are named after a place in India as I aim for the listener to feel the cultural beauty of this place with each sound, to transcend to a dimension where happiness and love are the main motive and where everyone is equal.

With the main track of the EP Soble makes you dive deep into the nature of his hypnotic soundbank. The journey between the mountains towards the Orient is pervaded by mystical flute playing and driving Percs. It leads you past villages where organic plucked instruments can be heard coming out of the mud huts. Synthetic toppings bring the whole build-up to the peak. A feast for the ears that makes the long journey truly indispensable.
The Forest tells the story of the woods behind the mountains. Rousing shakers set the beat and won't let you go. Soble has put these gentle but not to be overheard vocals in this EP, together with the ensemble of organic-syntetic melodies they give the piece the drive it needs.
959’s remix of The Forest brings the vocals to the fore and adds a good deal of synthetic material. Crunchy driving percussions form the framework of the track. Suddenly a deep bass sounds in the bridge and shakes the path, formed from the well-known melodies of the original. The very model of a remix.
Samaha tightens the screws a little more with his version of the forest. A icing on the cake which gives the EP the final touch. From the start to finish, Samaha made sure you don‘t miss out on anything here. In this interpretation nothing is missing, close to the original and yet another world. Driving, captivating and harmonious at the same time.
