Follow My Lead

Rhumba con Piano is an original composition by Tim Shadley played by the trio of Tim Shadley (piano), Jordan Hehl (bass) and Ricky Gonzalez (drums).  The harmony progresses along the cycle of fourths before sidestepping with a tri-tone sub and landing back at the top.  The other sections of the piece mimic such resolution oriented phrases.  4/4 time signature with a near merengue tempo...well beyond a rhumba.  Proving that titles sometimes mean nothing I suppose.   Enjoy!
