Kristin Jarvis, a native of Rochester NY, was born to sing! She showed an early interest in music, picking out tunes on a keyboard by the age of four and singing hymns with her Grandmother.  Her church début at the age of eight set her firmly on her path as a church musician, most recently as a member of the senior choir of the Lutheran Church of the Incarnate Word (Thatcher Lyman, director).  She has been a featured soloist in the Music at Incarnate Word music series as well as for The Mass For The Living by Amanda Jacobs, which received an honorable mention from “The Foundation for Sacred Arts” in 2010.  Kristin also sings with the Eastman Rochester Chorus (Dr. William Weinert, director) and was a 2007 semifinalist in the Rochester Oratorio Society’s “Classical Idol Competition.” Her choral credits include: Duruflé’s Requiem (Rochester Madrigalia, Lee Wright, conductor), Brahms’ Ein deutsches Requiem (Eastman-Rochester Chorus and Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, Christopher Seaman, conductor) and Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis (Eastman-Rochester Chorus, William Weinert, director).  Kristin has performed in numerous recitals in Rochester, NY and was a guest artist for the First Tuesdays recital series at The First Congregational Church in Columbus, OH with James E.Bobb.  Her voice teachers have included Jeff Wilson and Elizabeth Phillips. She resides in Rochester, NY with her family and several feathered and furry animals.
