BIOGRAPHY: Mila Stern

Mila Stern’s far over a decade-long career as a DJ and producer has taken her from
squat parties in Halle (eastern Germany), where she first learned her craft, through the
pulsing motley of Tel Aviv, to her adopted home of Berlin and the epicenter of
electronic club culture. Her calm, commanding skill as a selector rapidly made her a
sought-after artist, with regular appearances at premier festivals like Fusion, Nation
of Gondwana, and Garbicz, and residencies at Berlin’s legendary Kater Club and
Station Endlos in Halle. Since then, she’s transcended the boundaries of the Berlin
underground, bringing her signature style to the international circuit from Mexico to
Kazakhstan.

Mila delivers a groove-heavy aesthetic that has recently shifted toward deeper, more
focused energies drawing on restrained propulsion, textured sound design, and
subtly evolving rhythms. Her selections now balance minimalism and intensity,
rooted in the hypnotic but never stuck in genre constraints. What sets her apart is a
willingness to embrace unorthodox sonic spaces, explore the beauty in harshness and
dissonance, and embed arresting moments in robust, rolling substructures.
From her early days, Mila’s sound has been shaped by a sense of counterculture and
the urge to break normative boundaries. Her DJ sets especially long-form closings encapsulate a vision of rave culture as expressive, eclectic, and non-judgmental.
She continues to draw on risqué, narrative-driven tracks and boldly carves out new
territory without compromise even as the context around her evolves.

As a DJ, producer, event organizer, former radio host, and label co-founder, she
pushes the envelope while rejecting genre dogma. In 2025, Mila co-founded the label
MiZi MuZiK with long-time friend and collaborator Mira a platform shaped by
their shared values of autonomy and artistic integrity. While the label and Mila’s
current musical direction follow distinct paths, both are rooted in a deep belief in
sound that speaks for itself.

Few artists balance deep floor energy with such artistic clarity. Mila Stern continues
to evolve her sound while remaining grounded in a rave ethos that challenges
paradigms and makes space for what lies ahead.

BIO
Dash is a young Slovenian DJ based in Berlin, drawing inspiration from Italo Disco, Indie Dance, Synthwave EBM, and everything in between.

She is the founder and curator of Pozione d’amore, an Italo Disco event series held at Slovenia’s legendary Klub K4, a world-known venue with over 36 years of tradition. 
Through this project, she has introduced underground sounds to local audiences, sharing the
stage with artists like Kendal, Andi, and Maruwa.
Dash is also the curator of the Italo Disco programme at Klub K4.

Dash is no stranger to Berlins club scene, performing at venues like ELSE, Kater Blau and Aeden.
Her international podcast presence includes appearances on HÖR, Loone & FREMD (DE), Italorator (NL) and MINITEL & Monomoods Records (FR).

This summer also performed at some of Europe’s most respected electronic music festivals such as Fusion Festival (DE), Sonus Festival (HR) and Mahagoni Festival (DE), as well as iconic clubs like KitKat (DE),continuing the journey with performances at global landmarks of electronic music culture, including the prestigious Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE).

Episode 007 - RYNTH Pres. Zusammenklang "Between Us"

Im 3. Teil der Somebody’s Story Reihe findet die Mutter von unserem Protagonist Max Mustermann einen alten Brief seines Vaters, dem er ihn vor langer Zeit geschrieben hatte. Damals hatte Max gerade sein Abitur bestanden und musste im Anschluss daran zur Bundeswehr. Erstmals im Leben wurde die Familie getrennt. Über 600 km von zu Hause entfernt, plagten Max extremes Heimweh und Selbstzweifel. Er litt damals wie heute unter Versagensängsten, wusste nicht ob er den physischen und psychischen Belastungen standhalten könne, wusste nicht wohin mit sich nach der Bundeswehr. Er lebte nur im Hier und Jetzt.

Seinem Vater brach es das Herz, seinen Sohn so verzweifelt am Telefon erleben zu müssen. Er konnte ihm nicht aktiv helfen, er konnte ihm nur an seiner Erfahrung teilhaben lassen. Schon immer lehrte er Max, er könne alles schaffen. Er muss nur fest an sich glauben und seine Ziele nie außer Augen verlieren. Er solle sich neuen Herausforderungen stellen, auch wenn diese einmal nicht seinem Naturell entsprächen. Jede Erfahrung die er in seinem Leben machen dürfe, würde ihm irgendwann einmal weiterhelfen können. 

Die Entscheidung ob Max eine Lehre oder ein Studium antreten solle, die konnte und wollte er ihm damals nicht abnehmen. Er konnte ihm nur immer und immer wieder verinnerlichen, dass sich jede Entscheidung revidieren lasse und es für einen Neuanfang nie zu spät sei. Nicht jede Entscheidung sei im Nachhinein immer die Richtige. Auch das Scheitern gehört zum Leben. Wichtig sei es auch aus den Rückschlägen und Niederlagen zu lernen und gestärkt aus diesen hervorzukommen. 

Heute, über 20 Jahre später, steht Max wieder einmal am Scheideweg. Er möchte nach wie vor die alten Strukturen seines Lebens durchbrechen und sein eigener Chef sein. Allerdings hat Ihm nach dem Tod seines Vaters der Mut verlassen. Seine Mutter spürt instinktiv, dass ihr Sohn einen kleinen Schubs in die richtige Richtung benötigt. Sie schnappt sich den Brief, besucht Max und liest ihm den Brief vor.
