Still smiling after throwing a little weekend gathering with friends on a river sandbar on national forrest land at the base of Mt. Hood in Oregon. My crew hauls a bunch of gear into the woods and throws a gathering at this spot every few years. A lot great memories from this camp site. The first places I ever played music in front of other humans years ago. It felt really good to return once gain and celebrate life in front of the mountain. This is my live recording from Sunset on the first day to start off a weekend of amazing music and dancing.

Spring is returning and more sun light is on the way! I have been craving the company of friends in warmer, sunnier weather and decided to make a mix with that theme in mind.

The SEND IT Mix

I was feel energized and inspired after returning from a month long trip only to get sick with Covid from the plane flight. Sick, bored, stir crazy but still feeling inspired (at times), I managed to throw together this mix with all my free time stuck in the house on isolation. Went digging for a bunch of my spacey/dark slower tracks with a nice chug to them. Loungey space funk is a nice description. Funktronica is another (apparently that's an actual music genre). This mix is great for kicking back, maybe grabbing a drink or having a smoke, and lounging out for the next hour. Enjoy!

Thorson Live Friday Night at Sandbar 2024

Here is the live recording of my set at The Breakfast Club on New Years Day 2025 at the Monkey Loft. This is my favorite party of the year in Seattle and it was a huge honor to be invited back out to play another one by the Shameless Crew. My set was inside the loft area from 7:30-9:00am. I started the set in darkness, playing to that vibe, then gradually transitioned to more of a morning/day set with the sunrise. Had to throw in a few disco sprinkles because Disco Brunch 🪩🍳🕺🏻🌅. I could feel a lot of love emanating from the crowd. Such a great morning!

Thorson Live at The Breakfast Club 2025

Played a b2b set with my friend Shaner at the annual Shameless Summer retreat on a property in the beautiful North Cascade Mountains last month. We were slotted for a summer afternoon set on the river stage of the event. Big We leaned heavily into poolside/dayvibes for this one, starting around 110 BPM and eventually ending in low 120s. Was a perfect summer weekend! A huge thank you to the Shameless Fam for inviting us to play. A great mix for a sunny day or if you need a sunny boost on a winter day.

This is a sunrise mix I made at a crew gathering at the base of beautiful Mt. Hood in Oregon. The mix starts around 5:00 am with the sun rising around 5:30. Only a few people were up and awake with me when I played but I got a lot of satisfaction knowing I was playing in peoples dreams while they slept in the tent village near by. I managed to raise my partner Claire from her tent halfway through the set, where she took this picture. I really like how the recording turned out, I hope you enjoy it!

Did a little brunch transmission with fellow connoisseur of all things funky, Disco Turtle and a small group of friends in the back yard. We each did an hour set then kicked it over to another friends channel to finish things off for the afternoon.
