As a member of the now defunct Sandwell District, he helped force the hand of change with uncompromising ability.

Chris Kontos "Bayou - Fireworks In The Dusk"

The first in a series of 100% Wax sets for LN-CC from SLIP-D over on the HYPNOELECTRONIX imprint. The mix is a back-catalogue of inspirations from the late 80’s and 90’s UK House and Techno landscape as well as influences from club nights at venues like The Riverside, Empire, Pleasure Rooms and the hedonistic Rockshots. Capturing the energy of the deeper and slower sounds from warm-up sets that have resonated with him, SLIP-D fuses this with an amalgamation of new and old samples to create his raw and distinctive sound. The HYPNOELECTRONIX NO.1 record will be available online and in the LN-CC library from May. @hpnxmusic

Reggie Dokes makes his way across the Atlantic to play on our audiophile four-point sound system in a collaboration event with Rhythm Section and LN-CC. Listen to a mix of midwest deep house, representing the likes of Royal Oak, Clone, We Play House Records and his own label, Psychostasia Recordings. Since 2001 Reggie has been producing afro-futuristic dance music that imbues an ethereal, otherworldly quality, using live instrumentation alongside electronic elements to create a unique sound.

The LA-based DJ and producer Wonja finds inspiration from the modernist design aesthetic of Building Block.  Selections offer warped orchestral soundscapes to make up the soundtrack to the AW18 collection. Building Block explores conventionality and utilitarianism to develop practical and adaptable accessories with a contemporary design aesthetic.

Conjuring memories of daydreaming in the midsts of suburbia. A new mix from @priori-ties

Some words from Priori: “I grew up in a working class neighbourhood of Longueuil, Quebec, Canada. Being an only child in the suburbs meant I spent a lot of time daydreaming and contemplating my environment. I was a bit of a melancholic kid so post-punk and ambient music made a lot of sense to me when I discovered them. I stumbled upon an album called Strike by 154 by accident, probably wanting to download something else off of Kazaa. It really changed things for me as a teenager and I still hold it dear. There's a song from it in the mix, along with a bunch of other things that bring up similar feelings for me.”

“As for news:
Alex (Dust-e-1) and I are putting out a new record as ANF on NAFF, should be out April 26th.
Some more collabs and solo things coming out in the summer.”

We asked Gilberto if he could do a mix for our podcast series. The idea behind the mix is based around travel. He answered with his first Ambient set so far. Gilberto grew up amongst Hamburg's "Smallville" family, he developed from house to disco to all kinds of music. Since spring he's working for "huge online second hand music retailer" in Berlin. "Ise of Wax" is his party series and collective, founded 5 years ago, formerly at home in Golem and now in Frappant, Pudel and Nachtasyl and now here and there."

E2E: What environment or context did you have in mind when recording the mix? 

Greville (@grevillegreville): My favourite place in the world is a little surf town in the south of France called Hossegor that I’ve been going to since I was little. You take the bullet train down from Paris and can’t help but zone into the powerlines whizzing by with a dreamy backdrop of endless sunflower fields and forests.  The power lines start doing a kind of wavey motion which is quite musical. Every time I’m on that train it is very emotive like I’m returning home from a long time away… that feeling and the view goes quite nicely with some music, so this is supposed to be some music for that.

E2E: Upcoming projects you're working on? any new releases on Mad Habitat?

Greville: I have my next release under Greville coming out in January which is an attempt at club music but I’m not very good at making club music so it’s not that clubby. I also have an album from a good friend coming as the fourth release which I am very happy to be involved in. I am also still working on some exciting Rimbombo parties with my special friends Adi and Nik here in Sydney.
