Maria das Graças Penna Burgos, mais conhecida como Gal Costa (ou simplesmente Gal), nasceu em Salvador, Bahia.

Trabalhou como balconista de uma loja de discos em Salvador onde conheceu Caetano Veloso e toda a turma da Tropicália.

Ela é dona de uma das mais belas vozes femininas brasileiras e emplacou diversos sucessos, atingindo seu auge no meio dos anos 80, com músicas hiper populares. Mas seu início da carreira foi povoado de diversos sucessos mais undergrounds. Fez parte ativa do movimento tropicália sempre ao lado de Gil e Caetano.

Gosto do amor é uma composição de Gonzaguinha que nesta música fez uma ótima parceria com Gal. Uma música que mistura Rock, Forró e MPB, com uma letra cheia de tempero nordestino da época (1969).

Neste single, selecionais 3 versões de muitas outras que fiz, com um toque mais eletrônico. Uma é o que considero um ReWork Edit, com a versão original e alguns arranjos e novas baterias. Outra delas é uma versão rádio, mais curta. E a terceira é uma versão mais “muderna” (como diriam alguns), com uma levada mais Subtechno.

Maria da Graças Penna Burgos, better known as Gal Costa (or simply Gal), was born in Salvador, Bahia.

She  worked as a clerk at a record store in Salvador where he met Caetano Veloso and the entire Tropicália group.

She owns one of the most beautiful Brazilian female voices and has recorded several hits, reaching her peak in the middle of the 80s, with popular songs. But his early career was populated by several more underground hits. Active part of the tropicália movement always close to Gil and Caetano.

Gosto do Amor is a composition by Gonzaguinha that in this song made a great partnership with Gal. A song that mixes Rock, Forró and MPB, with a full lyrics of Northeastern seasoning (1969).

In this single, I select 3 versions of many others that I did, with a more electronic touch. One is what I consider a ReWork Edit, with the original version and some arrangements and new drums. Another one is a shorter radio version. And the third is a more "muderna" version (as some would say in Brazil) with high Subtechno touch.
