Magnificat anima mea Dominum.  Et exsultavit spiritus meus in Deo salutari meo.  Quia respexit humilitatem ancillae suae.  Ecce enim, ex hoc beatam me dicent omnes generationes.


For he that is mighty has magnified me.   And holy is his Name. And his mercy is on them that fear him, throughout all generations. He has shown strength with his arm.   He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.

The poet Paul Valery said in a poem, The deepest thing in man is the skin. The skin is the surface that others see or touch; it is a presentation of the self to others. And that is where we believe, feel and suffer everything that happens to him. As if this were the great organ of sensibility.
