KF Kempenbloei plays 'I shall love but thee' from Jan van der Roost. This piece was composed for the fanfare orchestra to be a part of their World Music Contest performance called: 'reverse'. Koninklijke Fanfare Kempenbloei from the Belgian town Achel is conducted by Ivan Meylemans and took part in this prestigious contest in the highest division, the 'concertafdeling'. A special role in this piece is for soprano soloist Anneke Luyten, who sings the well-known verses by Shakespeare. The orchestra was rewarded with a score of 97,7 for their programme and performance. 

Belgian conductor Ivan Meylemans, is one of the most exciting and dynamic conductors to emerge in Europe recent years. Ivan is currently chief conductor of the Zeeland Orchestra in Middelburg (Netherlands) and Professor Orchestral Conducting and conductor of the Symphony Orchestra of one of the finest conservatory’s in Belgium: LUCA School of Arts, based in Leuven.

Belgian Soprano Anneke Luyten studied subsequently violin and singing at Lemmens Instituut Belgium (Louvain). She was coached by Mezzo-Sopranos Dina Grossberger and Lieve Jansen (2001-2006). She fulfilled her vocal training by doing Master Classes with Ann Murray, Graham Johnson, Helmut Deutsch, Kirsten Buhl Møller, Alexander Oliver, Noëlle Barker, Audrey Hyland, Michaela von Gegerfeld, Maria Angeles Triana, etc. Her actual coach is Gemma Visser.

Jan Van der Roost currently teaches at the Lemmensinstituut in Leuven (Belgium), is special visiting professor at the Shobi Institute of Music in Tokyo, guest professor at the Nagoya University of Art and guest professor at Senzoku Gakuen in Kawasaki (Japan). Besides being a prolific composer he is also very much in demand as an adjudicator, lecturer, holder of clinics and guest conductor. His musical activities have taken place in more than 45 countries in four continents and his compositions have been performed and recorded around the world.
