This is a re-recording of the first single of a famous Dutch seventies band "DIZZY MAN'S BAND" 
All instruments played or programmed by their saxophone player Klaas Versteeg in 2022. 
Leadsinger Jacques Kloes his vocals from the original 1969 recording were re-used.

Unfortunately something went wrong with the original recording and that was really a shame, cos it's a good song that was written by the band's roadie Bob Ketzer.

The landmark venue on Denmark Street, which closed for redevelopment in 2015, was renowned for hosting early shows for acts who went on to reach stardom including Adele, Regina Spektor and Jeff Buckley.

Its location in the nicknamed “Tin Pan Alley” of London was at the heart of much British musical history. David Bowie famously hung out on Denmark Street in the ’60s, and The Kinks, The Rolling Stones, the Sex Pistols and Elton John all recorded or rehearsed their early works at recording studios on the street. NME‘s offices were formerly located there.

Honouring the name of one of Bowie’s former bands, The Lower Third will take over the space formerly home to The 12 Bar Club. It will open on an unconfirmed date this summer.

It comes as the Outernet also unveils its new HERE venue – part of the entertainment group’s redevelopment near Tottenham Court Road tube station in Soho – which is scheduled to open at some point in July.

HERE is the first live events space to open in central London since the ’40s. The Outernet’s London redevelopment project was originally slated for completion last autumn but has since seen delays. The Outernet is also working on sites in LA and New York City.

De Oude Zeehaven- Klaas En Dirk Versteeg Jr.

In de Czaar Peter Blues wordt Czaar Peter De Grote bezongen door Nico Roos. De gitaren zijn gespeeld door Marc Lecock en Rune Holwerda, de harmonica is gespeeld door Bastiaan Versteeg en de basgitaar door Gerrit Versteeg. Klaas Versteeg bespeelt de sax en piano en bedacht de muziek. Dat zijn 2 zonen, 1 schoonzoon, 1 neef en 2 kleinkinderen van de tekstschrijver Dirk Versteeg Sr.

Czaar Peter Blues  - Project Aalscholver

"Ik denk dat wat in je kinderjaren het meest tot je verbeelding spreekt de basis vormt; de basis die je bewust of onbewust de keuzes doet maken, waardoor dromen tot werkelijkheid komen."  Dit schreef schipper dichter Dirk Versteeg aan het slot van zijn boek Flarden. Het bijbehorende gedicht wordt voorgedragen door Lisette Versteeg en Marc Lecock bespeelde en bedacht de gitaarpartij.

Back to the sound of the Sixties!" with this Dutch family Project. Dad Dirk wrote the lyrics, sons Klaas and Gerrit Versteeg play organ and bass, nephew Marc Lecock plays the guitars and son-in-law Nico Roos sings. Klaas wrote the music and recorded and mixed this track in his home studio in the garage box. It's about being friendly to each other in an unfriendly world.

I'm just an old soul, but forever young at heart.
My new solo album is a mix of jazz, latin, blues and pop. 10 selfwritten songs. Played all instruments  and recorded  in my home studio in Belgium.
