Here you are hearing a loop in mode 3 of the Count to Five. There are 3 separate copies of the loop playing. Each one is randomly changing speed/pitch/direction. The loops are unquantized so the pitch change is continuous all the way from octave down to octave up without stopping on specific intervals. After the Count to Five, the Strymon El capistan is providing some somewhat subtle delay and the Flint is set to 100% wet reverb, totally washing out the evolving loops from the Count to Five. The new step modulation feature is probably my favorite thing about the pedal, and it's super fun to mess with.

A wave is a disturbance, a change from dormancy to activity.
Using a prepared* music box connected to a modular synthesizer the artist seeks to explore indeterminate actions and reactions. Sound and sonic events are triggered by the release of tension within the music box forcing a spring reverb tank to self oscillate into feedback which is then tuned using a bandpass filter and fed back into the synthesizer to determine the pitch of the composition.
