This set is a journey, a story that unfolds with each track and each transition. As Wes is selecting each carefully, leading us through to both the familiar and the unknown, each melody revealing new layers of depth and emotion. This set portrays a constant evolution from the deep slowly emerging to the surface. 

As a DJ, Wes has an affinity for sounds from across the globe, both from the past and present. With a passionate interest in history, he’s always keen to track down the stories behind the music he plays, ranging from Brazilian gangster-rap to Cape Verdean funaná to gritty Chicago house. Being an Utrecht resident, Wes is motivated to play his part in putting the city's cultural scene on the map. Not only is he one of the driving forces behind Utrecht's new club night Weerd, Wes plays part in the city's online radio-station Stranded FM, managing its archive as well as hosting his own bi-monthly show Mistureba, a show in which he showcases an eclectic mix of sounds that inspire him, from whenever and wherever.
