We welcome Munich-based producer and DJ @nicjalusi to the label. He is part of the Super Sound Global crew, renowned for digging out all kinds of under the radar records, as well as releasing fine edits and OGs on their own imprint.

Following releases on Earth On Earth, Terra Magica, and his own label, we are happy to release „Aqua Dream“, Jalusi’s debut full-length EP.

On „Kickstart“ and „Relax Your Body“ (with SSG homie Pio) Nic chooses his Tech Ryder moniker to channel the good early prog house - with trippy synths, rolling basslines, nicely sprinkled vocal cutz and digidi-dope dub references.

For the following three tracks, Jalusi returns under his own name and rolls nicely below the 110 BPM mark. The title track „Aqua Dream“ is breaky balearic galore with an Italo- house touch, while „Affirmation Dub“ with its dramatic melodies and swingy drums would’ve fit in Weatherhalls „Massive Mellow“ mix back in the days. Finally, „Moments In Life“ is a deep downtempo affair that perfectly wraps up this 5-tracker. A debut record you shouldn’t miss out on!

‘The 12 Moons of Ikutaro’, originally slated for release in 1993 tells the story of Shioi, a young girl who embarks on an intergalactic journey to avenge the death of her father.

Her journey takes her to the solar system of Ikutaro, where she must visit each moon to defeat the ‘Moon Boss’, and ultimately destroy the ‘System Controller’. Aided by her ‘Liquid Sound Device’ she undertakes the task journeying between the moons on her ‘Model JP8080’ and meets various friends and foes on the way.

AGT Records are back for number 008 and the smoke machine is on full blast. 

Christian Llopis put out a handful of releases in the early 2000’s, each capturing the progressive machine-groove of the time, but with his own signature twist and turn that made his sound stand apart from his contemporaries. The Lobster Tan EP, first released in 2005 on Play. Out. Right. Now. Recordings, shows off his unique style perfectly. 

Each track has its own distinct personality while maintaining a relentless momentum that throws each kick drum into the next. The title track ‘Lobster Tan’ has an almost elastic groove in the low end, balanced deftly with swirling samples and melody lines. ‘Simulation’ is a more heady offering, perfect for those late night/early morning moments where the heads are down and the lights are low. The mood is sinister, and its growling bassline and vocal samples barrel the tune forwards. Pick of the bunch is ‘Back in the Day’, a tribal roller that combines organic melody lines and pads with an ever-evolving bassline that will refresh any discerning dance floor back into life.

Llopis is an expert at keeping things subtle while moving the gears, and this release is a prime example of prog done right. We are happy to have this one back on the shelves, all in good time.

The Amsterdam imprint continues its growing number of VA EPs with 4 brooding creations from Uruguayan artists Molen & Nahuel, Michelle, Z@p & Latress. While punchy and hard-hitting, each track carries a subtly menacing energy, prodding darker corners of the dancefloor with undeniably satisfying echoes of 80s EBM. Molen & Nahuel’s enticing bassline and brassy synths lead the charge on opener “Modus Operandi”. Rising talent Michelle then pushes at a sense of paranoia with “Last Cello”, its elastic bassline providing the footing for clever percussive trickery. Things take a heady turn on “Ignorance” as Z@p weaves a po-faced speech into psychedelic synth work. Latress opts for a more introspective take on final cut “Perseverance” — pensive harmonies and glassy tones round out this collection of seductive, hypnotic tracks.
