Forgotten Today Demo

This is my attempt to make something that sounds like Tangerine Dream in the 1980s. So there's Emulator II, PPG Wave, DX7, Oberheim and the other usual suspects. And, yes, there is sampling, but no Fairlight this time.

New track from Skystone. Heavy use of the DX7 this time.

Wooden Concrete Demo

This track was not intended to be released as a single as it is part of a major work, but a friend who listened to it said "that's your 2023 summer hit". So enjoy listening.
Musically, it's a little petshopboyesque melange of analog gear (mostly OBXa and Moog modular) and Fairlight.

The latest synthesizer nightmare...

It began almost a year ago when I decided to make a track that would be suitable to hear when doing certain housework. It started with peeling potatoes, vacuuming was next (and released as a single back in June 23).
Having a major studio update, it took some time to finish the "Housework Suite", but I finally got there.
No, not a Tangerine-Dream-in-the-80s attempt this time, more or less a sound collage using the Fairlight CMI as the main instrument. Of course there's the other usual suspects, but this time I won't go too far into technology... just enjoy the music, do some housework!

The Housework Suite

Another work-in-progress item from the studio... No vocals yet, the choir sound is from "streichfett" plus some DX7/D50/M1.

Canned Cold Demo

Still at template status, no vocals yet. DX7 bass sequencer, some painting with D50 and Halion.

Menda City Demo

This is a remake of 1982's Cologne rockers' "BAP" great song "Jupp", Transferred to the 2010's S.F. Bay atea. Original music by Klaus Heuser, additional music by Skystone. Original lyrics by Wolfgang Niedecken, additional English lyrics by Skystone. Keyboards, Violin and Programming by Skystone. This track was produced using a Korg KRONOS. Choir at the end is E. Osman, L. Randall, L. Scheibe, C. Borcherds, D. Polits, P. Gysler, A. Steier, M. Munson and W. Boyd.

It’s 2025, everybody’s getting mad, and here’s a new synthesizer nightmare.
Prep work began in fall 2024 when I bought a used Fizmo. It was clear from the moment I got it in the studio that this unique instrument would play a major role in future recordings. And it made me look deeper into wavetable synthesis, so I got also back to the ESQ-M, PPG Wave, Wavestation and DW-8000 I got. No time and no money for the 3rd wave yet.
And after creating a couple of templates it it felt like the new music being a trip through the sonic world of digital wave synthesizers, with just a little additional Minimoog on bass and a bit Prophet-5 for certain structures. The rhythm concept is strict 1980s: Part 1 is managed by end-80s samples from early Roland workstations, part 2 rebirthes 8-bit samples from early-80s Tangerine Dream recordings, part 3 examines sampled percussion from the mid-80s, and part 4 sticks to loops only from the Fairlight series II. 

So enjoy the quadruple trip through WaveSpheres!
