Liminal : En anglais moderne, “liminal” désigne quelque chose de transitoire, entre deux états, un espace ou un moment qui n’est ni ici ni là-bas, souvent mystérieux ou suspendu. Comme  l’aube, le moment juste avant de s’endormir… c’est un état entre deux mondes.

Radio : Fait référence aux ondes, signaux FM, transmission, au côté rétro et connecté à distance. Ça évoque aussi l’idée de messages invisibles, de fréquences qu’on capte ou qu’on cherche à capter.

Donc les deux ensemble,
Ça donne l’idée d’une fréquence ou d’un signal qui traverse un moment suspendu : un instant de nostalgie et d’espoir, quelque chose de fragile et mystérieux qu’on capte à peine mais qui existe, comme un message perdu dans l’espace ou dans le temps.

C’est une ambiance sonore qui se trouve entre passé et futur, entre réel et rêve, portée par les vibrations radio.

Ultimae proudly presents Connect.Ohm [ 9980 ] a collaborative album born of the musical encounter between composers Hidetoshi Koizumi aka Hybrid Leisureland and Alexandre Scheffer aka Cell respectively based in Tokyo and Paris. 

The composers discovered each other’s work through solo albums previously released on Ultimae, and on a brief meeting in Paris in 2011 decided to blend their worlds of sounds and textures. 
The outcome is subtle and emotive. 

The nine tracks released on [ 9980 ] compose a ballad in atmospheric realms where finely chiseled rhythms and fluid melodies are sustained by discreet downtempo grooves and deep drones. 
A pure delight for vast soundscapes audiophiles.
