Bram VanK

Basé à Rotterdam, Bram VanK est passionné par la house et la techno, avec une touche progressive et soul, à la fois profonde et mélodique. Il a débuté comme DJ en 1988 et s'est lancé dans la production musicale la même année. Jusqu'en 2007, il a co-animé plusieurs émissions de radio, notamment sur MEAT Deep FM, Boom Breaking Beats sur Radio Phohi et The Mixdown.

Après une période faste en tant que producteur sous des pseudonymes tels que Funkstar Criminal, Max Dione, Groove Doctor et RB Fusion, et soutenu par des artistes comme Carl Cox et Armin van Buuren, Bram a fait une pause fin 2008. Plus de douze ans plus tard, encouragé par sa famille et ses amis, il est de retour à la composition, à la production et, occasionnellement, aux platines. Bram s'inspire d'artistes tels que Laurent Garnier, Sven Väth, Carl Craig, Steve Rachmad, Funk D'void et Dimitri Kneppers. Recevoir le soutien d'artistes comme Funk D'void, Dimitri Kneppers, Colin Dalle et Katotte sur ses récentes sorties, notamment les EP « Get On With It », « In Town », « Because My Boss Said So! » et « Dance De La Folie », est un formidable bonus et une reconnaissance immense.

Vous trouverez les titres de Bram sur des labels comme Brique Rouge, Cinematique, Naeba et Dark City Music. Bram est également souvent sollicité pour des remixes. Et bien d'autres choses sont à venir : des morceaux originaux et des remixes… Pour l'instant, c'est un secret… mais restez à l'affût !

We Love Techno Vol. 96

Cúrsaí Fírinne - Matter of Truth: We move through our days as if through a long corridor of flickering lights, half-shadows, half-illusions, never entirely sure which parts of the world are still our own. The natural order, once grounded in the certainty of sky and soil, now arrives at us filtered, compressed, re-stated in forms that feel like parodies of themselves. It is as though reality has been swallowed, digested, and returned to us in glossy fragments: a false calm, a counterfeit safety, a moral compass knocked just slightly askew. And in this distortion, even the innocent learn to doubt their own worth.

People search for refuge in the new augmented frontier, where everything: identity, affection, truth itself; can be purchased or performed in an instant. Information pours in without pause, indifferent to whether it is true or false; it presses against our thoughts, crowding out the quiet hours we once had to make sense of ourselves. Time, the most human of our resources, is stolen in increments until we forget what it felt like to breathe without a screen between us and our own mind.

In this strange reality, relationships waver at the edges, too often shaped by social currency rather than genuine connection. Work becomes less a craft and more a stepping stone to somewhere else, some future promise always shimmering just out of reach. Trust thins. The screen, omniscient and impatient, becomes the center of gravity.

And yet, within all this noise, there remains a yearning for something unconstructed: a return to the inner world where truth is not marketable, not optimized, not interrupted by notifications. Matters of Truth is that small act of rebellion; a stepping away from the digital tempest and into a space where energy softens, where tranquility can surface again. It is a journey inward: toward love, toward music, toward balance, toward the quiet knowledge of what truly matters.

A reminder that beneath the engineered future, we are still searching for the oldest thing of all: the truth of who we are when no one is watching.

Klaws (Pangea Productions / Re:Think Techno/ Pure Perception Records)

Klaws is Pangea Production’s lead conductor and co-creator, as well as founder and active member of the Re:Think Techno label & movement. He has been at the forefront of the electronic scene in the Carolinas and beyond for more than 16 years, together with a collective of likeminded artists. 

Klaws’ sound, a.k.a ‘liquid funk,’ is a combination of deep techno, minimal grooves, a dash of house and a good measure of dub, always keeping it deep, spacey, and with a driving groove. He first got exposed to the sounds of electronic music in his native country Romania. Since then, the passion for driving, cutting-edge music only became stronger.

Klaws has played festivals and events throughout the US, France, Romania, and beyond, organized numerous Pangea Productions & Re:Think Techno events as well as one South East premier underground electronic music festivals, “Welcome to Pangea”, now in it's 16th year. 

Together with the Re:think Techno and Pangea crews, he is highlighting a raw, high quality underground musical and visual immersive experience in all events, with heavy focus on local and regional talent, and also international surprise appearances. Always re:inventing, and creating a safe artistic expression space for the tribe and attendees.  

With his EPs releases on Pure Perception Records and Release Musiq, Klaws is pushing the boundaries of electronic music to create driving, hypnotic, atmospheric sounds.
