The international cross-genre trio Suspect 44 unites Hozz Sabirr and Zhiar Mahmoud from Netherlands and Luke Shipstad from the United. The guys’ patrimony is Anjunadeep record label, where they had a very impressive start two years ago with their hit «Japanese Schoolgirls», and quite recently their single «Neon Feel» from the compilation «Anjunadeep 04» became the most downloaded one according to the statistics of iTunes. Quite possibly we will read the same success story of their newest production, «The End», which will be one of the pathfinders in the catalog of Intricate Records in early 2014. Exactly the title track became a part of the label’s debut compilation «Intricate Sessions Vol. One Mixed by PROFF and Vadim Soloviev». The starting part of «The End» is full of mystery, later on as the track builds up and develops, you will be able to trace the entire spectrum of Suspect 44’s signature sounds, where there is space for melodic progressive, lots of percussions, juicy basslines and peculiar, sometimes even exotic and unexpected audio elements. The remixes for the Russian label were this time made by foreign artists. The first rework was made by Robert Moon from Poland. Robert is known for his masterful plays with syncopes, arpeggiated chords and general sympathy to the techno-flavoured progressive. The second rework was made by Blend – this name is well known to the listeners of Intricate Records. This time the Austria-based producer presents his alter-ego ”Volant”, where the sound is even more dancefloor-friendly, more lively and partially even more aggressive compared to his headline musical project.

American label veteran and versatile producer Dan Sieg returns to Silk Music after his acclaimed "Moonstruck" release. This single, "To The Sun", features a drum & bass original, as well as a downtempo rework.

The Original Mix is introduced by subtle piano strokes, and a prominent and energetic beat enters the mix shortly thereafter. The piano melodies continue to build throughout the track, and lush vocal stems and sound effects spice up the mix even more.

In the Downtempo Rework, calm percussion elements and captivating guitar riffs create a soothing atmosphere. The stunning vocals and refreshing piano notes in the background make this version a unique offering to its energetic counterpart.

The compilation is inspired by our weekly radio show of the same name, which is co-hosted by Jacob and Tom, as well as Johan Vilborg, Jayeson Andel, Vintage & Morelli, & Terry Da Libra. Reaching international listeners on Proton Radio, Digitally Imported, and other radio platforms, Silk Music Showcase recently reached its 400th episode (http://www.silkmusicshowcase.com) and now often ranks amongst the Top 100 Music Podcasts in the USA on iTunes.

Carefully selected to represent the sound of our radio show (and, more generally, our label), the songs included in the compilation range from the more pensive and melancholic shades of progressive to the more club-oriented, peak-hour material we tend to play at the end of our radio show mixes and live sets. Many of the artists are seasoned veterans of the SMS compilation series; there are also numerous first-time contributors to this year's compilation, many of whom have asserted themselves as leading talents in trance & progressive in just the past year.
