The fresh prince from Tafelsig is releasing his first new single ‘Don’t Koppel That’, after joining Katalis Productions in March 2017. He is known for his comedic style of rap as well as his energetic performances.

Klein Fortuin has been performing and releasing music independently for many years, so the writing and recording process is second nature to him. Keep your eyes on this young man, his ambition and work ethic is impeccable.

The song ‘Don’t Koppel That’, produced by Breimasjien, a producer and emcee all the way from the Hip hop rich town, Worcester just melts together with the lyrics and flow Klein Fortuin displays in this track. 
 
In this song Klein Fortuin addresses the actions and mentalities that exist within the Cape Town Hip hop community that he doesnt ‘Koppel’with, he is basically saying to his audience don’t be THAT person. The song is fun, light and fresh. There is a strong message in the song but it also serves as an easy listen.

Klein Fortuin het vir jare op sy eie, musiek vrygestel asook opgetree by verskillende Hip hop platvorms, so die skryf en opnameproses is vir hom tweede natuur. Hou jou oë op hierdie jong man, hy gaan groot trappe neer sit in S.A Hip hop!

Die enkel snit 'Don't Koppel That', vervaardig deur Breimasjien, 'n vervaardiger en rapper vanaf die Hip hop ryke dorp Worcester smelt mooi saam met die lirieke en vloei wat Klein Fortuin neer lê op die snit.

Klein Fortuin releases his new single ‘Dag Een’ (Day One) which is a switch from the comedic style of  rap he is commonly known for. On this song Klein takes you through a very dramatic, emotional but also enlightening story of  his life journey. He paints a vivid picture of how he started out as an Emcee rocking Parkjams all over Mitchell’s Plain and fast forward’s to his current chapter as he recently joined the Katalis Productions  team in March 2017. 

Since his previous release ‘Don’t Koppel That’, Klein has performed at a theatre production which was hosted by Gambit Films forming part of their new prime-time TV series which will start airing nationally in October 2017. Dag Een along with a few other songs by Klein Fortuin will also form part of this TV series. Klein Fortuin recently performed at Katalis Productions’ hosted event ‘Northern Lights Hip hop Nights Chapter 1’ where he stole the show and had the crowd demanding an encore!

The production on ‘Dag Een’ was created by Katalis Productions’ very own super-producer:
G-Soul. Known for his soulful edge and boom bap style of production it makes complete sense why Gsoul’s beat inspired Klein Fortuin to write the lyrics which wrote on Dag Een.

This song is as real as it gets, nothing comes easy when working towards your goal and Klein shares every struggle and success of his journey thus far. The song has a nostalgic feel yet it bears so much relevance to the Cape Town Hip hop scene today. This song is a tribute to Kleins’ great love, Hip hop!

Klein Fortuin releases a new single ‘Vêkyker’ off his forthcoming “Mitchell’s Klein” project.

‘Vêkyker’ is the third release from Klein Fortuin for 2017 and this one is bound to have you giggling as he paints the things he sees in his day to day life in Mitchell’s Plain. In classic Klein Fortuin style, this track gives you a glimpse of the humour he adds to the things he notices and questions in his neighbourhood.

The month of October was filled with activities for this young man, one of his unreleased tracks ‘Don’t Skaal Me’ is currently enjoying airplay on primetime television as part of the new Youth Drama Series DanZ! This series is currenlty airing on kykNET & kie (DSTV channel 145). Klein Fortuin also appeared on ‘A walk with Mel’ with MelRock Lizzo on Cape Town TV on 18 and 20 October where he spoke about his journey thus far.

This track is done over a banging G-Soul production. A far stretch from the usually soul-inspired beats, this one is bouncy yet playful and compliments the lyrics seamlessly.

You will get your boogie on with this one, its creative, downright funny and yet makes mention of the struggles in his community with out the gloom. Katalis Productions  presents the second Klein Fortuin collaboration alongside the Cape Flats veteran emcee Linkris the Genius, this is Klein’s fourth single release for 2017. ‘Lyn Span’ can have various meanings, but in this track, Klein Fortuin is talking about how he is paving his road to success. This track has him flexing his lyrical muscles as he shares the cold hard truth of the constant work he puts in despite doubts and disappointments that may have crossed his path on his journey in Hip hop.

LinkrisTheGenius will have you nodding in agreement as he paints the battles that inspires him to constantly raise the bar, in any given form, to ensure the longevity and growth of local Hip hop. Hard work and consistency remains the main ingredients to success.

The title of the track is basically a question that  Klein Fortuin is asking "were you prepared for the lock-down?" and many South Africans are currently realizing that they were not prepared for the lockdown, specially the two week extension that was added. He also adds humor to the video by putting a mouse in a pan and puts it onto the fire just like people in china do. but he also mentions the serious challenges that the people are facing because of the lockdown.

He is known for his witty and comedic rap style and audiences everywhere remember's him for his amazing energetic live performances.
