🎚️ Kleine Pia es el alias de Pía Sotomayor, que debutó en el año 2003 bajo el alias de Dj Ruina. Con un estilo que transita sin prejuicios entre el Techno, Electro, House, Breakbeats y Experimental Club, ha tenido la oportunidad de presentarse en muchísimas radios, clubs, fiestas y festivales de Chile y el mundo. Hace algunos años experimenta con máquinas, editando singles para diversos sellos como Panal y Halcxn. El 22/11 lanza su primer Ep Multi Level Void en el sello chileno-mexicano Filiae. Siempre underground, siempre variado, siempre intenso.

Masterminded by Ricardo Villalobos and named after a group of Russian revolutionaries, laptop supergroup Narod Niki made their debut at MUTEK in 2003. Using the then, relatively new Ableton Live software to network their live jam, some of the biggest names in techno participated in this auspicious performance: Ricardo Villalobos, Richie Hawtin, Akufen, Robert Henke, Dimbiman, Dandy Jack, Cabanne, Luciano and Dan Bell. While bootlegs of this recording have been circulating on the web for a while, this is the first time we have released the recording.

Kleine Pía is the alias of Pía Sotomayor, who debuted in 2003 under the alias of DJ Ruina. With a style that crosses without prejudice between Techno, Electro, House, Breakbeats and Experimental - Contemporary Club, she has had the opportunity to present herself on many radios, clubs, parties and festivals in Chile and the world. For some years now she has been experimenting with machines, editing singles for various labels such as Panal and Halcxn. In November 2022, she released her first EP Multi Level Void on the Chilean-Mexican label Filiae, an EP of 6 tracks, three originals and three remixes, by Valesuchi, Tomás Urquieta and Ron Morelli, mastered by AtomTM.

Kleine Pia ha canalizado su carrera musical desde múltiples roles y dimensiones en la comunidad underground local. Desde su debut como Dj en 2003, mezcla Techno, House, Electro, House, Breaks, y Experimental Club, presentándose en clubes, raves y festivales nacionales y también en otras partes del mundo como Nueva York, Buenos Aires, Medellín, Lima y Colonia y varias ciudades de México. 

Ha grabado sesiones para diferentes medios como BBC Radio 6, Radar y Threads en Londres, Refuge, Hope Street e Internet Public Radio, y otras como Rince France, Documenta, Onda Mundial, Whereabouts y Club Sauna, entre otros. 

Tras varios años experimentando con sintetizadores y máquinas de ritmo, y luego de lanzar varios singles, en 2022 estrenó su primer Ep, Multi Level Void (Filiæ).

@sedefadasi's style is impossible to pin down. Embarking on her sonic journey, she fearlessly navigates her craft through a multifaceted universe of rhythms and genres, captivating dance floors with her everlasting groove and electrifying embrace. The best place to experience this rollercoaster is her own monthly HAMAM party at City club in Augsburg where she has invited plenty of international guests to join her. The Turkey-born, Germany-based artist is also a resident at Blitz Music Club and is set to join us at Dekmantel Selectors later in the summer, but first comes this week's podcast. 

It launches in seductive fashion with the moonlit deep house of Chicagoan Ben 'Cosmo' D then cruises through smooth but punchy grooves that stay low and bring hints of old-school cool in the basslines, stabs and drum breaks. Adasi's shift through the gears is almost imperceptible here as the pace quickens and the drums grow more physical. That is a testament to not only her smart selections but also to her ability to thread together these sounds quite so seamlessly.

Place: Chile is a collection of producers living in Chile. The tracks are donated and all proceeds go to a local environmental group in that area.

The Air Texture label's Place project moves to Chile, to commission a new compilation curated by Chilean cultural agent and force Pía Sotomayor, aka Kleine Pia.

Drawing a singular geography like the territory we inhabit, Place - Chile compiles the work of artists as diverse as they are complex, some with extensive experience, or those who are just entering this adventure. Creating rhythmic patterns linked to the dance floor, moving from house, techno, and broken rhythms.

Some are perfectly elaborated, and profound, others with a raw and spontaneous cut but all of them with a sound that translates the identity of each of the artists present in this compilation, just like an intrincated map of multiple generations found in this selection.
