The album ‘Songs From The End Of The World’ by Norwegian artists Ost & Kjex was released in June 2022 via their Snick Snack Music. The enigmatic electronic music duo have taken the stage in iconic spaces across the world such as Rex Club, Panorama Bar, Fuse, Fabric, Sonar & more. They now recruit a star-studded cast who frequent the same institutions to remix three of the tracks featured on the LP, calling in Chloé, The Maghreban and Thomas Melchior for a versatile & fun EP. Chloé kicks off the release with a retro remix of ‘The Gallery’, its resonant bassline cruising alongside tantalising vocals and an infectious groove. The Maghreban then flips ‘Dickies Pix’ into an eerie, high-energy club track filled to the brim with spectral percussion, arpeggiating keys and growling acid bass. Lastly, Thomas Melchior re-imagines ‘Mountain Girl’, complete with a slow-building rhythm, hypnotising vocals and dubby fx hits, turning the track into a trippy chugger perfect to warm up the crowd or wind down the party. Exactly one year ago, I received a call that led to one of the most spontaneous and cosmic trips of my life just two days later.
The land of ice and fire - Iceland and the intimate YZTA festival - where I had the pleasure to play.
Open spaces, landscapes like from another planet, and incredibly energetic people.
But when the sun shines for more than 24 hours a day, there's a volcano under your feet, and from the tap flows delicious drinking water straight from a glacier - there's method in this madness.

My main impression of this country was mostly shaped by music.
Artists like Gus Gus , Björk , Sigur Ros , and Kiasmos could transport me to another space-time and like those endless Icelandic landscapes, had a kind of therapeutic effect.
It was wonderful to experience this live as well, as I met many interesting Icelandic artists with that unique sensitivity at the festival itself.

Recently, the festival crew managed to cut and prepare recordings from a few days of a continuously running recorder, so today I can share my set with you.
A storytelling selection of the carpet-melting/ psychedelic trip genre.

Samuel Huettner aka AMfive, hailing from Switzerland, is one of our main resident artists during last two years. He released with us several tracks within Spring Tube's 'Nu Breeds' and 'In Style' installments, two personal EPs on our sister imprint Sol Y Playa, two EPs on Spring Tube, as well as a couple of remixes on our biggest artists - Claes Rosen, and Satoshi Fumi.

In 2025 Samuel presents on Spring Tube his first ever mini-album release - 'Raindrops'. It consists of author's 5 brand new tracks in the melodic progressive house and downtempo genres, and also the continuous album mix which between all the tracks includes an exclusive about two minutes chillout/downtempo 'bridges' that aren't in the unmixed version of the release.
